There Will be blood is a very good movie, with excellent acting. At times, the movie may seem a littlle slow, but the acting, story line, and historical content make up for that by far. Daniel day Lewis steals the show, and it is visible why he is an oscar award winnng actor.
An in depth look into the twisted soul of a turn of the century oil man. This film will make you question good and evil. An incredible character comes to life transcending through the screen from the work of Day-Lewis. Brilliant! Dark comedy and intense drama surrounds the relationships of the characters, with scintillatingly sinister overtones. Morality and religion combine and sometimes collide in this American epic.
Beautiful cinematography across undulating plains of a pre-developed California. Blood is a Triumph to the Bloody End.
This movie is as bizarre as it is intelligent. Every last meticulous detail seems to have been thought out. The plot keeps you at the edge of your seat, and then forces you back in confusion. At the end you'll probably just sit there awestruck and think to yourself... "What?" If you can grasp the fact that apparency isn't always the best way to get a message across, you'll find yourself in a delightful state of deep contemplation, exploring everything from character relationships to the very principle of good and evil.
A story about family, greed, religion, and oil, centered around a turn-of-the-century Texas prospector in the early days of the business.
It started out keeping your interest and then it took a turn for the worse. One of the most bizzarre movies I have seen. Surprised it was an academy award winner.
