I had to read the book for school and it is good so far. This book is kind of hard to get started but it is interesting so far.

This is a good book but it is so sad. But I'm glad I got to read it. If you want an insight look to how poverty is and what it is like to be stuck in the lower-end of society, read this book. You will feel an emotional attachment to LaFayette and Pharoah.

Although a depressing book, it is well worth the read. Just have a kleenex box with you while reading. The information in this book is very important for all of us to know. I had to read this book for a summer read for a English class in my senior year this coming fall. I believe all of us need to read this book to understand what others are going through.
