There Must Be Some Way to Stop Them

I first heard Vaux on the local rock radio station and was blown away by their power vocals and the ability to be so many genres of rock in one single song. Since the CD that single is on isn't in stores yet, I picked up their previous CD "There Must Be Some Way to Stop Them" which is just as amazing as i had thought it would be.
This CD is a great add to any neopunk collection, with soaring guitars and gutteral vocals. The singer doesn't just scream at you, however, showing you that he can actually sing. The sound is for fans of bands like Thrice, AFI, and Thursday. The CD art is misleading, giving the appearance that the songs might be about things of old like mythology and religion but the lyrics give more insight into real life like cars, women, and death.
The songs are complex, both lyrically and musically, leaving the listener enthralled. One of the best songs is "Set it to Blow" with will do just that, blow you away with the first listen. Other top tracks include, "On Love and Cars" and "Switched On."
