Then Came the Night by Tommy Shane Steiner (CD, Apr-2002, RCA Nashville)

You heard "What if She's an Angel" on the radio, but you probably didn't hear all the other great songs on here including the duet with Randy Travis. The title track was more recently recorded by Trace Adkins, but Tommy's version is so much better and more powerful.

One rather unique song is "What We're Gonna Do About It". It features a woman talking with her friend on the phone about this crazy guy who starts singing a love song to her in Starbucks. Tommy sings on the parts where the guy is supposed to be talking to the woman. The voice of the woman in the song belongs to Pete Sampras's wife.

I would've loved to hear a second album by this talented young singer.

This may have been Tommy Shane Steiners only mainstream country CD, but he sure set the bar high for himself.This CD is full of many fun songs, and still it is mixed with the typical pull at your heart strings ballads that draw in any country fan.This would be a great buy for any country fan to have in their collection.
