The other reviewer should listen to this again. Airpushers do a great job of blending funk, soul, hip hop and electronic all into something very fresh. Guest vocals from Golden, Sy Smith, MoZella and Motown legend Lamont Dozier help make the record diverse, yet it still flows with a certain cohesiveness. Dozier's "Hold the Onions" is obviously a 'tongue-in-cheek' take on a 'booty call' who's lyrics aren't meant to change the world, but rather get your ass shakin'. MoZella's "Music Fight" and Sy Smith's "Fill in the Blanks", on the other hand, both take a deep and introspective look at the music industry itself.

The other reviewer wrote "Mainstream really commercial sounds...". Yet Tim and Printz (co-song writers and music directors of the hugely 'commercial' Black Eyed Peas) decided to take their solo project to an 'indie' instead of releasing within the all-POWERFUL realm of the BEP world. Besides, there's nothing commercial about it. "Themes for the Ordinarily Strange" are just two skilled musicians doing something fun, unique and wild. The cast of guest vocalists are just icing on the cake!

There's no other way to describe it. I just got this from my record company and I'd love to be able to sell it here on the bay, but I'd feel I'd be ripping you off so I'll toss it in the gahbahge instead.

Lame lame lame super lame. Weak.

If you're into mainstream really commercial sounds then you may like this album. Good thing these guys have a career as studio/gig musicians so they won't starve anytime soon :-)

It's really shocking what some record companies will put out there. The lyrics are weak the singing is lame.. there's never a real groove - as hard as they try. They're trying to be too cool instead of simply having fun with it. Happens like that when you get caught up in the hype. These guys need to get out of LA for a bit and get with the real.
