The Wild Places- Fogelberg, Dan

After the success Fogelberg experienced with such recordings as "The innocent age" and "Phoenix" as well as "Windows and Walls", I believe he began to struggle with his songwriting, and fell into solitude with himself, because of changes taking place in the music industry, and the sudden MTV generation. I feel that this recording was one of his better collections of songs during this transition period. As on many of his previous recordings, the album begins with a beautiful keyboard orchestrated intro(Aurora Nova), which is very 20th century music style synthesized and leads into a good soft rock type tune.My favorite song on the CD is "Ever On", which is a beautiful, dreamy, well orchestrated tune. Some great inner thought writings by Fogelberg throughout this entire CD.
