The Very Best of Badfinger by Badfinger (CD, Sep-2000, Capitol/EMI Records)

This compelation showcases the works of the late Pete Ham before and with Badfinger thoughout his short but talented life. This album is better than the other "greatest hits" albums out of Badfingers work, usually a bit more exspensive but well worth it for the collection of work.

As a musician, I have always respected Badfinger for their writing and musicianship. One of the guys who used to travel with my band carried on an e-mail correspondence for quite a while with Mike Gibbins
(drummer), so I sort of got to know about the band through Mike.
I have always loved playing, listening to, and learning from British musicians, and this CD represents the
best of the best !

I bought this album because I could not get it on Itunes (will you get a deal worked out with Apple Corps already?). It's been on my Ipod and in the car stereo since--I've listened to it several times in two weeks I've had it.

What an amazing band--great lyrics, great harmonies! I'd forgotten what a fantastic band Badfinger was in it's prime. All of their great singles are here as well as some other outstanding cuts. It's a shame this band is now known as much for its tragedies as the great music it created.

If you like the Beatles, you will love this. Paul Mc Cartney worked with them with their music and it shows. Really a superb CD. I've been listening to the Ivy's (Badfinger) for over thirty five years and real glad to see their music being re-recorded on CDs. Tom Evans,Mike Gibbons,Pete Ham, & Joey Molland harmonize like no other. Very very easy to listen to. R.I.P. Pete Ham.
