This book is extremely helpful in the descriptions and illustrations of body wide trigger points. The suggestions for self message, stretching, body mechanics, etc. are well written and easy to follow. I have been utilizing and studying this book since it arrived.

As A Massage Therapist, I love this book for its easy to use techniques for maintaining self health. I bought several copies to give as Holiday gifts for my family. The book takes the information found in the Janet Travell, Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction; The Trigger Point Manual and combines it with the author's personal experience to provide individuals with the tool of knowledge to maintain a painfree life. Using simple techniques of hand, tennis ball, and theracane, an individual can bring optimal health to muscle previously held in spasm by trigger points. It's a great book- but only if the reader practices the techniques- even for people not in pain- the techniques would contribute to optimal range of motion and muscle health. For people in pain, the techniques are salvation.

Very easy to read. If you just need to work on a couple of trigger points it is great but anymore you need help. Finding some trigger points is very hard. Worth a try.

Funny you should ask me to write a review..........
I am a massage therapist , always looking for new ways to better myself, so I was very interested in this book. However, my excitement took over, and I was not careful in selecting a seller, I just went with the first one on the list- and I payed for it !!!
I made the payment through PayPal- Fortunatelly-, but never recived the item. The seller "marytroutman212" was new on e-bay, and was just out to get people, and shortly after that she disappeared from here. ( at least I can not find her) What I don't understand is , that the purchase also disappeared from my history on 'My E-bay' page!
The sad part of the story is, that I wrote to e-bay and they never bothered to answer to my complaint.
So I would give a very poor review to the seller, and to e-bay in this matter!!

Otherwise I like and enjoy buying and selling here ---a better costumer support would be great!
Thank you for listening!

  Trigger Point Therapy
Review created: 03/13/09

I decided to buy this book because I have had ongoing neck pain for the past 15 years from two car accident where I got whiplash. I constantly crack my neck and at times it causes me much discomfort.I love this book.I started doing some of the trigger points for my neck and it has helped tremendously. I even bought one of the tools recommended to get those hard to reach spots on the back. I also started trying it for TMJ and found those points to be very painful so I know I need to work on them.I was so excited to have found something I can do myself to help me with the pain and tension in my body. Excellent book, well written in easy to understand verbage. Diagrams make it easy to find exactly where the trigger points are. I even ordered this book for my sister. I would recommend this book to anyone who is serious about helping themselves.

This book describes an excellent system for do-it-yourself pain relief. It's practical and fairly easy to follow, although some time needs to be devoted for experimentation and mastery.

Great book for people interested in this technique.
Very Useful!
Unless you're really keen to wade through the 1000+ pages of Simon's and Travell.
