This movie was great fun when it came out. Arnald was always a stiff actor, but in this robotic role he was perfect! Great story line, good plot, solid acting and lots of stuff blowing up make a great movie that holds up very well over time.

This is the best of The Terminator series. Sequels are always up against the original and therefore have a lot to prove and the action scenes/effects in the next movies are very good, but the theme was new in this one and it will be the standard against which such movies will be judged for a long time.

The movie was in great condition. I enjoyed the movie. Wouldn't hestitate to buy another movie from this seller. His description of the movie was Right On!

Great DVD but be careful, there are 2 versions. There is the Special Edition with Special Edition written across the top. Then there is the barebones editon with just MGM at the top. The DVD get mislabeled all the time on here so watch out. Really hard DVD to find but worth it if you can.

movie was very hard to find was ver happy to get it at a good price played very well am trying to convert vhs to dvds and this was a hard one to get

theres nothing special in this dvd, except THE FILM LOOKS CLEANER, and so does the sound

but THE ONLY EXTRA FEATURES IN THIS DVD ARE, a trailer and CAST AND CREW INFO, but thats it

bought this movie to complete a trilogy for my wife . first one of the trilogy and probably the best of the bunch full of action and adventure, a true classic

got it in timely manner, condition were good, got what expected, would buy again from this seller, did not have any complain

The Terminator is a great science fiction movie. You follow "The Terminator" as he goes back in time to eliminate the mother of the child that overthrows the mechanical terror known as Skynet in the future.

The humans send back a fighter to help young Sarah Connor defend herself against the Terminator.

This movie is what made Arnold Swartzeneger's career. A number of catch phrases like "I'll be back" were introduced in this movie and have now become part of our cultural lexicon! :)

A great movie that spun off two other's! I can only hope that they decide to create T4 and set it after the nuclear war we saw in T3 Rise of the Machines!

I like to collect old and/or popular movies. I was looking for another movie, The Terminator came across. I realized that I did not have yet, the price was right. One I received, the product was in excellent shape.

I'VE SEELN IT BEFORE. IT WAS A GOOD MOVIE. I BOUGHT THE WHOL TRILOGY FOR MY BOYFREIND'S BIRTHDAY. THEY ARE HIS FAVORITE MOVIES. THERE IS NOTHING I DON'Y LIKE ABOUT THE MOVIES. YOU CAN ACTUALLY STILL WATCH THESE. I'VE TRIED TO WATCH OTHER OLDER MOVIES AND THOUGHT THEY WERE JUST TOO CHEESY. WE'VE DEFINATELY HAVE GOTTEN SPOILED WITH OUR NEW GRAPHIICS AND COMPUTER GENERATED MOVIES.

This release was particularly spectacular if you (like me) saw it in the theaters in 1984 or on TV in the 90's, due to the magnificent and monumental task that was undertaken to bring this into the 21st century by UPGRADING the original MONO audio track to Dolby Digital 5.1 EX Surround Sound!
This puppy will set your ears back if you have a Surround Sound home theater with THX capability. I was pleasantly surprised when the MGM Lion leaped out, bellowing a roar that made me turn the volume down - sounds like he'll snap your head off! The following audio experience was amazing in comparison to the original. Weapons fire is felt through the chest! OUCH! The neighbors thought I was being masacred.
If you are a Digital Sound freak like me, this is a must experience! Follow up with the Special Effects Features also on the DVD - you'll appreciate the work that went into this Remastering. The Sound people talk about how cheated they felt having to work on the original 1984 sound in MONO.

The Terminator is edge-of-your seat entertainment. A lifelike robot is sent back in time to destroy the mother of the man leading a war against the robots. Arnold is terrifying as this character, who cannot be stopped or persuaded to stop....he just keeps coming, no matter what happends. You could lose a pound of sweat by the end of this film, but leave with admiration for the strength of woman.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton are at the top of their game deadly and sexy. This is an action movie classic!!!

This is the movie that propelled "Ahh-nold" from muscle-builder obscurity to A-list Hollywood fame (it didn't hurt Linda Hamilton's career, either.) The first and best of the Terminator trilogy, his performance as the relentless, merciless killing machine set a standard that later copycat films like "Universal Soldier" never achieved. "The Terminator" has a simplicity and grittiness that its blockbuster sequels could not equal despite their bigger budgets, perhaps even BECAUSE there was so much more money for James Cameron to throw around.

The epitome of the '80s action flick, this is a must-see.

How did this movie get past the Awards nominators!! During the 1980s, this movie hit the screen but was barely noticed until it appeared on cable. But WOW is it good!! The story about a 21st Century robot who resembles a human (Arnold Schwarzaneggar) sent back to the 1980s to kill the mother of a future human who will battle the 21st Century planet Earth robots in charge of everything is pure science fiction at its best. Linda Hamilton plays the future mother, Sarah Connor, and is on the run from the Terminator and a real human, Reese (Michael Biehn), sent back from the year 2029 to protect her. You will not leave the movie once it has started because it so good and so full of action from beginning to end. It has an ending too that is a slam dunk and then an epilogue that will boggle your brain!

Even now it is frightening as computers continue to get smarter and are able to do so much more all the time. Could this movie be a forewarning like Orwell's 1984? Who knows. But this movie, once it caught on spawned two sequels that are not as good. (The second movie, "Terminator 2" came close to being as good.) The Terminator is well worth the 2 hour ride. It is Arnold's best movie by far!!

Dark and disturbing, definitely one of my favorite movies from the 80's.

Arnie is absolutely spectacular as the evil Terminator. This movie really started it all, in my opinion Terminator opened the doors for many action/sci-fi movie stars.

Terminator is a classic movie that belongs in any movie fans collection.
