The Ten Commandments - 50th Anniversary Collection (2006, DVD)

I wanted a permanent copy of this brilliant film. I have not received my movie yet. PayPal says I have paid for it.

This an old classic that I wanted to add to my collection. Great movie, hard for them to copy in modern times.

One of the most visually spectacular movies ever made..This film tells the story of Moses and his struggles with his past, the truth and his destiny..Stars Charleton Heston in the title tole of Moses..This films boasts a stellar cast of stars to many to name..perfect for the entire family..This set also boasts the original silent version whish I also found to be intriguing..

An epic movie starting with the birth of Moses, ending with Moses receiving the Ten Commandments. Beautifully acted, the parting of the red sea is almost believable.

I bought this about a month ago and finally got a chance ot watch it, although I have seen it before on television, I still find it an incredible movie to watch and now that I have it I WILL watch it over and again. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

If you love movies that take you back in time and teach you about people in the bible, then this is a must have movie for you. I love this movie and what it teaches you out of the bible. My husband and I have watched this movie over and over agian and never tire of it. It shows you all about mosses and the parting of the sea and teaches you about honor thy mother and father and not to commit adultery, those are some of the commandments. It shows you the pain and suffering that Moses' mother suffered by giving him up and saving his life. My favorite part is how he saves the people from the pharoah and takes them to a new and better place and teaches them or tries to teach them right from wrong. This movie is a must have for those who believe in the bible and what it stands for.

Excellent movie we've already watched it great movies a whole bunch.Can't complain about the movie my family and I enjoyed it from start to finish. Thanks for the movie we will enjoy it for years to come.

My daughter's favorite Biblical account is about Moses. This movie was very educational and depicted the account of Moses as well as Hollywood could. I recommend it if you want to find out how God led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt. This epic account is truly written in stone, but now the law is written on human hearts thru the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I purchased the dvd set at a much lower price than listed in the stores, purchased as stated, great purchase! Would purchase from seller again!!!

I had a vhs video that would not play anymore so i decided to buy a dvd and am very happy with the quality of the movie

I bought this DVD because it is an Easter tradition for me to watch it every year, but it's usually on so late and sooooooo edited that I finally decided to buy the DVD, BOY!!! am I glad I did, so many scenes that I've never seen before,Some scenes blew me away with the number of extras they used, the color, quality everything was like seeing it for the 1st time, I HIGHLY recommend to everyone who loves this movie BUY THE DVD!!! I'm going to buy a copy for my brother and sister (shhhhhhhh don't tell them, I want it to be a surprise) ;-)

This movie is an old classic within the biblical setting. Everytime I watch it brings to mind everything that has happen and how greatful I should be to God in my life. God is good all the time no matter what you have done in your past, God still loves you.

With it's star studded cast that shall be with us through the ages, this movie is one that the whole family can sit and enjoy together. Just imagine what Cecil B. DeMille could have accomplished with cgi. The music composition is as bold as the movie itself. With the recent passing of one of Hollywood's most notable figures, Charlton Heston will always be remembered as Moses - his most unforgettable acting performance. One can only be in awe after this great movie !

the movie has this type of singing in it that is very soothing to the ear, I love the story, and how it can be so old and still have better special and visual fx than the movies you see today. made in th 1950s.

Love the movie and its wide format. Really didn't care about the "extra" like the 1927 version. Would have been happy with just the 1956 version.

I watched this movie when it first was released.
I was floored by it then.
Now, after so many years (and Heston's death on April 7), I finally
purchased it.
It is even more spectacular than my memory of it. Given FX's were in their
infancy then, the parting of the Red Sea is even more amazing.
If you are a Charlton Heston or Yul Brynner fan, you will love this movie.
The director's commentary is particulary enjoyable because the making of a scene and clarification of the dialog is explained.

Not exactly biblically accurate but a great movie non-the-less. Undoubtedly John Derek's best performance as an actor playing Joshua. My favorite scene is when the Egyptians chase the Israelites through the Red Sea. Great effects! The costumes and props were just amazing. No wonder it won the Oscar that year. This is a must see movie!

THIS MOVIE HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE HISTORY, AVERY WELL PROFESSIONALLY PUT TOGETHER MOVIE. CHARLSETON HESTER PLAYS A REAL LIFE LIKE CHARACTOR IN THIS FILM. IF YOUR BIBLICALLY INCLINE I FEEL IT SHOULD BE IN EVERYONES HOME. WELL UNLIFTING SHOWS MORALS AND JUSTICE.

outstanding movie and Moses from the Basket TO HIS EARLY LIFE with with the Royal Egyptians and his return to the hebrews. This is a great movie with out standing special effects for the time it was made~ the 10 plagues of Egypt to the Parting of the Red Sea worth the watch to see it. Follows biblical history very closely.
** excellent acting by Edward G Robinson who makes you cringe every step of the way~*** I give it a solid 10 out of 10.
