Yeah i agree with "immecool" it sounds exactly lyk Fallout Boy with a mans voice instead. Just lyk Gyroscope sounds the same as disturbed. if any1 sees "immecool" punch him in the face 4 me and for Rise against. They r nothing like Fallout Boy amd r heaps betr. They would b ashamed 2 hear they sound lyk Fallout Boy..... Awsome cd.... buy it buy it buy it...

What I liked about this album was, it had more than just 2 or 3 songs I usually like about a typical album. I would say I loved more than 1/2 of the songs in the album.

This band was already one of my favorites, but after hearing this CD they moved to the top of my list.

Most of the punk/hardcore style music you find today is really "weak" in my opinion. It lacks passion. It lacks aggression and conviction. Punk wasnt nesessarily supposed to be "produced" and "cleaned up". It was an attitude, born from oppression & frustration-of the purest strain. Well, these guys have somehow brought life back to punk! RISE AGAINST have found some way to bring it all back...The aggression of Black Flag and DOA. The piss and spit of Wattie & The Exploited. The sour hostility of DRI & the Cro-Mags...its all here!!! If you like your music FAST, HARD & ANGRY with a snarl and curled lip,

The CD plays good and there are no scratches to be found on it. The shipping was pretty slow though, so take it for what it's worth.

This album is seriously rockin, and like most great albums, it will grow on you. The songs are original, thought provoking, and relevant. Worth buying.

Despite what the other reviewer said, this CD is not like FOB. I think Rise Against would be ashamed to be called similar to FOB. This is harder punk rock, almost to the point of hardcore.

Rise Against is a great band, especially if you're looking for great lyrics with superior instrumentation. The singer's voice is odd at first- kind of raspy and weak sounding. But after a few listens, this CD will become one of your favorites- trust me.

Notable songs are "The Approaching Curve," "Chamber the Cartridge," and "Ready To Fall."
