The Stranger by Albert Camus (1989, Paperback, Reissue)

This book was absolutely fantastic. I laughed, I cried, and when I was finished reading it, I started reading it all over again. Camus creates a beautiful story as he combines his transcendentalist philosiphy and a captivating story. You will not put this one down. I strongly recomend this book for anyone who can read.

What Camus brings to this story using the character in first person and the simplist words yet arranged to together complexity is fascinating. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read whats important!

The book had occasional writing--in pen--on it which made it a nuisance as I needed to annotate and hand in the book for school credit. It looked a little old, but it served its purpose nonetheless.

I bought it because my English Professor required this book. I bought this book in a cheap price, and got it just on time. I love this book and what it wrote inside the book. And the book is almost like new, however, I spent a little money to get it.

After reading this book, I found it a lot easier to understand existential philosophy. It was actually a enjoyable book to read. The main character is an example of a PURE existential hero--and because of that, it amuses the readers as to how he makes his decisions. It also gives people insight as to how different people's thoughts may seem from that actual thought.

I brought it for summer reading. It was translated from French To English which may explain the writing style. The sentences were short and choopy.

Although this book is short, it packs a punch. If you have any interest in different philosophies or thinking in new ways, this book is definitely required reading. It is the best existential piece of writing out there...
