The Stand by Steven King, Pass on this one.
I am normally a Steven King fan so I was very disappointed in this book. It was rambling, disjointed and very dull. While he was long on guts and gore he was very short of plot. I was hoping for an interesting adventure such as Misery or the Green Mile and it just didn't happen. I would pass on this one.

Very Puzzeling but then that Stephen KingI read the book and saw the movie years ago. A friend of mine was asking about it so I bought it for her. And again watched the movie on tv not long ago I believe it was on for 9 hours. The first time they aired it it was a 6 part mini series. If you love King like I do it's the book for you. If you've never read King like my friend it's a good one to start with.

The StandI decided to buy it while in Highscool. It came reccomended by my English Teacher. I fell in love with Stephen Kings work because of this book. The way he developed the characters made you feel like you know them each and every one. The vivid details about the dreams in the book creeped me out.Really reminds me alot of End of Times in the bible.I think this was clearly the best book Mr King ever wrote and that is saying alot.

The Stand = The Best of King...I have read nearly all of Shephen King's books and this is by far my number one choice.. I only read the uncut version because I wanted to read it all.. This was one of his longer stories and the made for TV movie almost did the book justice but I still like the book better... The story does jump around quite a bit so you really have to keep reading and pay attention to the storyline of good vs evil on many different levels.. If you want to read a long quality Stephen King Novel, this one is it!!
