I liked the packaging, but it was a bootleg and I wasn't aware that I would be receiving a bootleg. One of the DVDs wouldn't play and the seller disappeared. I should have assumed as much with a price like $175...

What did I like? The price, isn't that why we all ebay? What a deal, 100 bucks buy it now. This thing retails for over 450 bucks! Without hesitation, I bought and paid for it. I read the whole listing, looked like a great deal. SOMEHOW, ebay found out that it was and IMPORTED version, and told me not to pay. HA to late on a BIN.
Yes, factory sealed. Yes, all seasons. Yes, crap quality, especially on HDTV. Yes, Chinese subtitles. That CAN"T be removed, I even bought a new dvd player. The U>S never released a version with a silver case and bullet holes, nor the strange set that I got.
What I suggest is that you look carefully at the photos, and read listing carefully. Look for imported or international version keywords. Ask the seller to open one and photo it, you should be seeing a fold out of four, whereas each dvd is secured. I got the seasons alright, but open one up and you have four discs piled on one another, add in media mail shipping, and yah, scratched discs.
I am in the process of buying then again, cause sure, bootlegs are cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Look for viewed once titles or single seasons, those are more likely to be the genuine US versions.
Imported CRAP shouldn't be allowed to be sold on EBAY. This is about the fourth time I have been burned by inferior misstated products.

This set was made in China and is a rip off. Only 12 of the 28 dics were viewable. This man is a thief and a fraud. Passing off Chinese junk as an American product.
Some folks have no concious and don't give a damn what they list on ebay. This creep should be thrown to the wind. He is a no good thief!

I love the series, the characters seem so real to me. Of course, I have my favorites (Paulie, Tony, Johnny Sack is so hot!!)and characters that I can't stand either (Richie Apprillo, Janice Soprano, Meadow Soprano). It is set in New Jersey about a mafia family and their trials and tribulations. They are ruthless and mean at times. Sometimes I have to fast forward or turn my head because they are so brutal...anyway, love the series and glad that I purchased them!!

Simply Amazing!The entertaining episodes of the sopranos brings to light how dignity and respect is seen amongst one of the oldest and traditional cultures of the world which is also reflected in other traditions in the region.

Very disappointing. Out of 5 episodes 2 are messed up. Picture just freezes up or goes blank. Of course I enjoy the series and like watching the ones that I can see but really frustrating with the poor quality. I decided to buy it because it seemed like a good deal and I liked the series.

The DVD's were home-made. I was so disgusted by this, b/c there was no mention of it up front. I can understand selling pirated copies on ebay, but the buyer should be informed and not led to believe they are receiving merchandise they would expect to buy in a store. I did receive a full refund, but it was a headache.

The SopranosMy wife and I bought the first season to watch on a boat on a cruise. We were so engaged that we watched a new episode every night - then we went out and bought the whole series. Great stuff.

fantastic dvd set! well worth the money, a must own for any sopranos fan. ebay prices are at least half what you would expect to pay in a store. when we won this item, we threw are hands up in victory and shouted EBAY!!!!

The product was not what I was expecting having borrowed seasons of The Sopranos before. It was some sort of import, with shitty packaging, and even shittier menus, lacking the special features on the official copies. Make sure to ask the seller about dvds, don't just assume they're official.

I bought this for my dad. (That's partly why this review is so late - I was waiting for his feedback to me) He was very happy with it. The only this is that one of the disc wouldn't work. Everything else was just as advertised and previously reviewed.

It was a great price for the entire series. Family said it was a great series. The packaging was sloppy, the discs were loose & some where scratched. Each season had a different way to access for viewing. The first half of the 6th season was unable to be viewed so I had to go out and buy it seperately. The first two were from overseas.

We had watched the show on tv, off and on, and missed many of the episodes, so I decided to get it for a birthday gift for my husband. I was very happy when we received it, as there were no problems. One time befor this purchase, I bought a box set, and when I received it, it was in another language, and had not been advertised as that. This purchase went well, delivery was quick, and have had no problems. I would feel save purchasing from this seller. Thanks

I just received what can only be described as a fake set. It was unwrapped, contained only 24 discs in cheap plastic holders even though it was advertised as new containing 28 discs. I wish I had seen the posts regarding these sets; the one I received is pictured as a fake set. This is my first time buying anything on Ebay, and my previous concerns about buying here were realised.
