  Poor Quality - Blurred Colors/Fonts - Links don't work

This appears to be a bootleg copy of poor quality (colors/fonts are blurred and links do not work). Seller did not ship within 5 hours as advertised. When I emailed them, they lied and told me they were sending the link again. The link itself was to a Pando download. Pando is a very slow (40-50 kbps) ad-based download. I have filed a complaint with PayPal.

The Six Sigma Handbook by Thomas Pyzdek (2003)
Review created: 05/04/08

Book is a tale of 2 cities. First of all let me say that the author is obviuosly well educated and well versed in the subject. There is a reason why the author would be approached by someone to write such a book. That does not mean that this author has written the book well. There are sections of the book that are very basic principles which are repeated over and over from paragraph to paragraph, sometimes in the same words, other times using different words or phrases, but concluding with the same point. There are pages in different chapters that are exact copies, word for word. Then there are other areas meant to explain direct processes or steps to be taken to complete a task that leave so much to the imagination you could not complete the task without reading another book. Missing information, possibly because the author knows too much and forgets that the reader may not know it all, thus the reason for buying the book. I realize this book is not meant to be a step by step instructional manual, however there is vital info missing in my opinion. Then we come to the blatant abuse of acronyms, some meaningless, so many that you need to write them dwn for later reference. I purchased the book as required reading to pass Six Sigma certification. It is unfortunate that this is the book that is supposed to open doors. To truly understand the concepts needed for the work we will be required to do, you will either need extensive prior background in the concepts and work, or you will need to do additional reading and have mentors work with you. Do not think that after reading this book that you will know what you need to know, additional research will be required. I rate the book below average giving the author credit for his knowledge and experience, however taking points away due to the fact that in my opinion the book is not going to give the consumer what is needed or suggested by the title. Overall I am disappointed in the experience.
