The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005, DVD)

I came into this movie expecting a cute girly movie about four teenage friends and their "high school" type problems. But I was pleasantly surprised. Most "teen" movies these days feature overly dramatic popularity contests and girls constantly at each other's throats over guys. But The Sisterhood succeeded is portraying a much more positive and valuable side to the friendships of young girls. The four actresses have great chemistry so their on-screen interaction was fun to watch.

I was very impressed with the moral value in this movie. Though the girls make mistakes, they see the consequences of their actions and gain important life lessons.

The special features on this DVD are great. There is a behind the scenes feature called “Fun on the Set” with lots of interviews and footage of the cast. There is also an intriguing interview with Ann Brashares, the author of the book the movie was based on. Other special features include deleted scenes, a movie commentary and a spoof documentary that Amber Tamblyn’s character was filming during the movie.

I went to see this movie with my mom and my boyfriend. My boyfriend wasn’t looking forward to it. But as it turned out, all three of us enjoyed it! It really does appeal to a wide age range. Although, parents of little girls need to be aware that, while the moral lessons in the end are great, a couple of the experiences the girls go through are a bit mature. The movie is pretty clean and the ending redemptive. Overall it would be a great movie for a family night. By parents of kids still in grade school may want to see it first and then decide.

It's a fun story about four girls and a pair of pants that kept them connected, at a time in their lives when other things may become more important to them then friendship.

I love the movie. I'm looking forward to seeing the next one in theaters.

I went to go see this movie with my best friend and I bawled like a baby. I absoultly loved it The movie has a wonderful leason in it too it is no matter what you go through in your life whether good or bad your friends will always be there for you. The Second Sisterhood of the travling pants just came out and my best friend and I are planning to go and see this one too just like the first one and she already betted me that I was going to cry when I see this one too. This is a wonderful movie to see with your friends

I can't wait until they make the sequel of this movie. I thought this movie was charmingly beautifully done.

It is a very touching story of four young people who learn a great deal about life including what it means to have "best friends." The acting is excellent. The story is written very well.

This is not just another teen movie! The scenic beauty of the location of the movie is great. The cast is above Average. The participants agree to wear the pants and forward them on to each other in there vacation travels wherever they go. A story goes with each of them. Many lessons to be learned from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Delightful and moral value from this film.

The premis of the movie by using a pair of blue jeans to tell the girls each individual experiences that summer was a verry good story line for the movie.Deffinitely a "chick flick" like Steel Magnoias.

Clean, funny, and entertaining - great movie! I enjoyed the fact that it showed girls of all different sizes and looks - good self-esteem booster for young ones or old alike.

I received this DVD in perfect condition and it works well. I have had no troubles since I have purchased it.

It took a while for the movie to arrive, but that has to do with the post office. There are no scratches on the DVD since it was new. It did not look pirated.

I was watching Ellen and she was interviewing America Farrera and talking about the movie she had done. Ellen said she had really enjoyed it. The next person Ellen interviewed said he had seen it because his wife had brought it home and how much he had liked it. Someone else said they had bought it and watch it every time they felt down. I was taking a flight to California, 5 hours, so I purchased it to watch on the plane. Although it didn't work in my portable dvd, when I returned how I stuck it into my home dvd and really enjoyed it. I am sure when I have time to see it a second time I will not only enjoy it again, but get even more out of it.

I like this movie very much. It reminds me when I was a teenager. My daughter says her to. Would pay from this person again.

I prefer the book 100 times better!, but its a nice movie. I read all 4 books. Ann Brashares is a great writter, very creative :)

I saw this movie with my sisters and my mom for her birthday, it made us all cry so hard! It was pretty great for girls.

Great movie for all ages. Touching story of friendship,relationships,family and life lessons. I would recommend it highly. Makes you both laugh and cry. Is a story you could watch several times and continue to enjoy.

A wonderful "feel good" movie about friendship & growing up. I laughed, cried and remembered what it was like to fall in love for the first time. The cast is perfect and I wanted the movie to go on and on! I recommend this movie whole heartedly : )

This movie is definitely intended for your teenage daughters or older. I am glad I preview all movies before letting my daughter watch. I think it is a great movie for teenage girls, and for friends...Good friends. It would be a great family movie for a mother and daughter to sit and watch, maybe even a slumber party.

Watched the movie and decided to buy it. It is very true to life, no one wants to be treated different due to an illiness. They want to be treated with respect. It also teaches you how fast lives can change. Whether you want it to change or not.

Received a Video today and surely was Not the Sisterhood of the traveling Pants.
It was to my surprise when I gave to to my granddaughter to open BETTER SEX MAKING SEX FUN.
I had a hard time explaining this not only to her but to her MOTHER. Please confirm back ASAP what you wish me to do with this trash and thank you. Only wish I would have opened it first.

As of today I still have not received the DVD to which I purchased and am not happy.

I love the movie because its a movie that i can sit and watch with my daughters and we can all enjoy it together. i purchased this movie as a christmas gift to my girls.

My teenage daughter asked me to purchase this DVD for her. She likes that the movie shows if you are far away from your friends, that you can still have friendship.
