Remember The Carpenters? Love them or loathe them, nearly everyone does. No wedding 'bash' would be complete without one or two of their tunes - 'We've Only Just Begun' being the most obvious and probably the most played. When I was younger, I perceived them to be very uncool, but as I've aged (and mellowed?) I now appreciate what a great voice Karen had and what a good selector of songs and arrangement Richard is.
Here we have a collection of The Carpenters greatest hits plus a couple I had not heard before (but I'm not a lifelong fan) presented in re-mixed 5-channel surround sound (as well as stereo) on an SACD. The sound quality is truly amazing - it has even convinced me that CDs CAN sound as good as vinyl! Each time I've listened, I've noticed something new and I keep going back to check what else there may be to find.

If you have a SACD player/5.1 channel system, you will love this recording. AMAZING sound!! the only way to listen to SACDs is with the proper setup, the Playstation 3 will play them if you get the proper receiver, one that decodes LPCM thru the HDMI cable, see ps3sacd.com for receivers that work, otherwise, get a SACD stand alone player and a 5.1 receiver/amp, see ebay, and ENJOY!!!!

all the songs are great if ur a big carpenters fan than it is a must for you it has all the top songs and some that are okay but most are #1 hits
