The Shop on Blossoom Street by Debbie Macomber

Another wonderful book by Debbie Macomber. This is the first in the Blossom Street series. I definitely recommend reading all of this series.
The main characters are Lydia, Alix, Carol, and Jacquie. Lydia starts a new business called, "A yarn shop", she offers a class on knitting a baby blanket and the other three sign up for the class. All three are completely different in social class such as Jacquie is very high class but very unhappy, Carol is middle class but she and her husband wants a child very badly (Carol has already miscarried twice), and Alix poverty class very angry with everyone.
Jacquie is taking the class to make a baby blanket for her son and daughter-in-law, but she is not happy about becoming a grandmother (especially with the woman that her son has chosen for a wife).
Carol is taking the class as sign that a baby is meant to be.
Alix is taking the class to work off court appointed community service time.
Needless to say some interesting things happen to cause these four people to become very good friends. I'll let you read the book to find out the different events that happen. It's a very good book, you won't regret reading it.
