The Sexy Years / Ageless

As a woman struggling with menopause, and I am also a Registered Nurse, this has been a confusing, frustrating, at times frightening road. I would not be responsible if I do not add that not all females struggle with this time in our lives. Each woman in unique, as is her experience. Maybe this is why those of us who's symptoms are in the extreme, have such a difficult time finding treatment, because it varies from woman to woman. I am adopted, so can not draw from my mothers experience, also, because I do not know my medical history, do not want to take synthetic hormones. This book has given me information so that i can be proactive in my care, which is what we all need to make informed health care decisions, saves time and money, because all physicians do not understand, or subscribe to this kind of treatment. Thereby, helping me to hone in on where it is i need to go, the kinds of questions i should be asking. Clinically, also gives great information, from the phycians, etc., that is correct, Ms. Sommers is very informed herself. I also read her book 'Ageless' and between the two have gained a lot of insight in to what is happening to me. 44 years old, hysterectomy in 2005. I am currently awaiting my first appointment with physcian.
