The Sensual World by Kate Bush (CD, Oct-1989, Columbia USA)

Nobody does it all like Kate Bush. Writes lyrics, composes melody, arranges & performs her works. She was singing for and about women who love, hate, dream and live before it was popular. Check out her videos on YouTube. She puts a face to a natural woman.

This version of the CD is a picture disc. It was only ever released this way in Canada. However, there are two pressings. The first has a 'Capitol' logo, the second 'EMI America' printed onto the disc itself. All other packaging is identical. Although both pictures discs, the first issue has a darker, more distinct and somewhat more pleasing effect. The second issue is lighter printing and although the picture is clearly visible, it is a little less distinct. Either is worth having, but I would recommend that the 'Capitol' one be sought because as it was replaced by 'EMI America', it is obviously a limited edition- ask the seller when considering a bid if it's 'Capitol' or 'EMI America' on the disc!

And the music? Come on, this is Kate Bush, of course it's fabulous!

EXCELLENT transaction overall

A bit different from the usual Kate Bush but still quirky and fun and always interesting. I certainly would not consider this to be my favorite album of hers but it has it's great moments and keeps me coming back. 4 1/2 Stars.
