You would not have sought out this book if you didn't desire somewhere in your heart that now is the time to seize the moment and be prosperous, happy and fulfilled, because you are entitled to it! Rhonda Byrne has capsulized what many of us have felt or experienced at one time or another in our lives, the Law of Attraction working in us. Her explanation and that of other living masters will excite you and help you focus on what's needed to have the Law of Attraction play a major role in your life! And you don't have to give up your religion - this fits and exists along side whomever you worship! I would love to hear of your experiences - contact me via ebay member id.

I was asked to write this review, I have bought several DVDs, a couple of the books and CDs.
The nitty-gritty of ‘The Secret’ is "the law of attraction." “I've been given a glimpse of a Great Secret," she tells us in the foreword. "Why doesn't everyone know this?" She asks.
I have watched her DVD many times played the 4 CDs countless of times, and now feel comfortable to write this. Hope you are not offended in any way as I am not offended either, just sharing.
“When you think in harmony with the frequency of something, you attract it to you. If you think about wealth, you will receive wealth. If you think instead about your debt, you will receive more debt. You attract what you think about; your thoughts determine your destiny.”
According to Byrne and the co-contributors whom she solicited, everything in the Universe vibrates on a particular frequency.
This universe is the same as God,
God is the same as man,
man is the same as the cell....
Man is the counterpart of God on earth;
as God is man's counterpart in heaven.
Therefore, it is a statement of an ancient belief that man's actions on earth parallel the actions of God in heaven. She writes ‘We are the creators not only of our own destiny but also of the Universe.... We are all connected, and we are all One fragments of a great secret have been found in the oral traditions, in literature, in religions and philosophies throughout the centuries. For the first time, all the pieces of The Secret come together in an incredible revelation that will be life-transforming for all who experience it. Byrne maintains that the Bible of religious customs contain The Secret. Thus Byrne's teaching is not so unique after all, she believes, after all that religions and all their scriptures are equally valid in their authority and basically teach the same thing.
"For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?"
The Secret ignores the fact that God has a Law. What Byrne neglects to realize is the law of attraction is that our iniquitous hearts deceive us and attract not only more sin and guilt, but eventually, the anger of God. We are to live for the glory of God and increasing abidance requires not only that we grow in our knowledge of God's love, but also that we constantly reaffirm specific truths, despite feelings or circumstances that contradict them. A real challenge.
Byrne assures us, "nothing can come into your experience unless you summon it through persistent thoughts”
Our Creator God has no place in this man-centered doctrine.

Everyone needs to read this and see the video as well at least once. For the most part, this information may or may not change your life over night, but it could start you on the right track to a different kind of thinking. The book was very easy to read and follow. Once the information had moved through the country in the form of the book, it inevitably would make it's way to video.
If I told you the secret, then it's possible that you will not value the information so I'll just keep it a secret for now.

I've been using The Secret, also known as The Law of Attraction, for 25 years; long before I knew it had a name. It's brought me some of the most incredible experiences imaginable (see my secret auctions for more on this). But in all my years of studying this universal law I've never seen it explained as clearly and in such an enjoyable way as it is in Rhonda Byrne's The Secret. I've watched the DVD more times than I can remember and I re-listen to the Audio Book version on a regular basis. Each time I do, it brings my understanding of The Secret ever higher producing greater and greater results. My own experiences with this law and those of people I know have been so amazing that I'm even writing a book on it. I rented The Secret dvd first, and then purchased the book. This was a great purchase for me because I like reading the passages during quiet times, especially when I can't sleep during the night. For people who are looking for magic or an instant fix...this is not it. It really takes work to change your core beliefs about yourself and the world around you. Use this as a tool to keep you inspired to do the work needed to change your life.
I was brought up to believe that if you did the right things in life, good would come to you. This is only partially true because you should not create actions that do harm to the environment or to others. It is really about the energy you put out into the universe, and it really does not matter what your religious beliefs are, The Secret is for everyone who wants to use it. One of the speakers on the dvd stated: Whether you are a good person or a bad person, if you fall of a building, you are going to hit the ground!
There are many different tools out there to better your life...this is just one. So if it works for you great, but don't expect it to be easy to change the false beliefs you have about how the universe works. Through studying The Secret, I have become interested in the study of physics...it really is that simple but also that complex. This can be a life changing event if you use it correctly, or it can be just another self help item that you will put on the shelf to collect dust…it’s up to you! This is just one woman's explanation of what the Secret means to her!
I also had bought this dvd for someone I love, and I have watched that person transform in just a matter of a few weeks. She had been struggling to find work she loved and after applying the Secret, she was offer 4 ideal positions within one single day. Needless to say...she was blown away! Of course then she had to choose one out of the four. She is now doing what she loves and is happy to apply The Secret in other areas of her life.
I highly recommend the purchase of The Secret if you are willing to commit to changing your life for the better. Purchasing the dvd is a good idea too!

After reading many reviews on this book, I said I guess it's my turn to read it. However, I've been very busy with life as a foreclosure prevention counselor that I bought the audio version. In listening to the the author read the book, I see why many are so intrigued by it. It has allow me to further focus on what I want and ensure I work toward achieving said goals. In a world where many are giving you gimmicks on how to achieve things in life, it's nice to know that this book doesn't have gimmicksl. It gives you the mental tools necessary so that you, as an individual, can move forward toward achieving what you set forth. Prior to reading this book, I had set up dates with goals on said dates. I am glad to announce that those dates are getting closer and I am seeing that the paths I have taken has allowed me to accomplish. My past does not define me and my present is just that, a gift. Yet my future is where I will be in a short distance and I know now how to get there mentally and physically.

I bought this book because it reminded me of what I had read earlier in my life when I was about 38 and went through a painful divorce. It reminded me of what I used to believe and made me hope again. I had lost hope in my life and this book put me back in touch with the positive life force that we all possess. At 66, it made me happy to be alive and brought me all that I dreamed of having. Well, not everything, but I became hopeful again. That happened last April and I still am happy and doing very well. I went on to buy many other books the best being the Science of Mind by Earnest Holmes. Believe me, there is life after sadness, after divorce, after great loss. I went through all of this and found a new way of life and believing. I still have the same husband, home and life, the difference is ME!

This is an amazing audio book. It changed my life. My wife and I have become more aware of wonderful things we have in life. The best part about this book is the fact that it really makes it clear that you - and only you can change your life.
Take a look at your past. Take a look at all the great things your have now. They all started with a thought. Just a simple thought. The secret is: thoughts become things. It may sound a bit silly to you at first, but once you are aware of it, you'll start noticing it. Watch the movie, read the book or listen to the audio book; then pay attention to your life and all the things that at one point were merely a thought. Now you see...
Everyone deserves abundance in their lives, and there is more to go around than we think. This book will change your life, but you have to take the first step. Life is so amazing once we open our eyes and see what the universe is capable of.

When I purchased The Secret, at the insistence of a very close friend, I was skeptical, but, willing to listen. I listened to the first disk. Hmmmm, was kind of boring, although it did make sense. Law of attraction, I have known about that for years, so I had no doubts there was something to this "system". I finally got a chance to listen to all of the disks. Yes, it is definitely a good system. Positive thinking can't hurt! I have incorporated The Secret teachings into my daily routine and I have found (and this is no b.s.) that I feel physically better, I have found a way to get out of financial hurdles without filing bankruptcy and I notice a big improvement in my outlook on life. I was very depressed when I purchased The Secret, but, even that part of my life has improved greatly. I'm a much happier person. I give The Secret 100 thumbs up! Everyone should read it or listen to it several times and you will no doubt derive some benefits. Looking forward to their next one!

I am a very negative person with severe health problems. I bought "The Secret" to try and help me to be more positive about my health issues. It is an amazing book. I also received as a gift "The Secret" DVD. Which is also wonderful. My husband bought me "The Secret CD'S" for my car...and I listen to them all the time....This may sound like I am trying to "brainwash" myself and I actually am trying to do that. I need to change my negative attitude about EVERYTHING! and use all that energy to be more POSITIVE in life. It is working for me...and if thats what it takes to make me feel better...then I will continue to read....watch...and listen...I am no way promoting anything...I am just being honest...It may not work for everyone....but I want it to work for me more than anything...I know its not a "Self-Healing" thing....but if "The Secret" can teach me to be able to handle my illness better than I have been...I will do whatever "brainwashing" to myself that needs to be done...so I can live a little more fullfilled life and be grateful for what I have and who I am...Thats all I need.

Please don't think that if you've seen the movie "The Secret", you can bypass the book/audio book. The audio book is approximately 4 hours long. There are things covered that were NOT covered in the movie.
So much of the basics are the things many of us grew up with....either in church or at home. For instance, "you reap what you sow". Think about it...that is what is now called the "law of attraction". But, for those of us who may or may not still be spriritual but are not actively affiliated with a religious sect, the principles are a solid foundation for life.
I love the fact that "The Secret" doesn't need to be applied to becoming rich materially. It does apply to all facets of life...relationships, work, etc.
I bought the book and the audio books. I listened to the audio on a recent trip. I'm looking forward to delving into the book where I can truly reflect on that which is important in my life.
I hope you will do the same.

My wife loves it but we got a defective disc 1. The way it was package could of been better but the stuff on the disc are very good . I do not listen to it my wife loves it. I was watching Larry king in Oct and bought her the dvd version fist then I heard about the cds. I got her the cd a month ago. The disc 1 cuts off in mid sentence half way through took it too another cd player did the same. Only disc 1. Return package and Amazon will replace it . But as far as whats on the cds she loves it plays the dvd or the other cds every night before going to sleep. If you ever do a follow up series let us know.

I love this audio. It is very interesting to listen to. I noticed it has help me with alot of different things in my life. Alot of this is so true. I would recommend this to everyone! My sister told me about the book, but I am not a book reader. So I got the audio instead. I like listening to it when in the car driving, since I drive alot of distances. A must get item! worth every penny.

I have the DVD & wanted the audio book. What I do like about it is that I can listen to it in my car & I can rewind to review important points that I want to remember. What I don't like about it is that "every person" is announced "every time" before they speak, which could be ten to twenty times per cd. So you hear their name announced over & over again & again... If you can learn to block that out, then it becomes less annoying, but at first, it is quite annoying. If you are expecting an audio version of the Secret DVD, this is NOT an audio version of the DVD, it's the novel version, which is very different.

A simple guide to improving the quality of your life. Easy to read and understand. I recommend this book very highly to everyone, particularly to those who may be at a low point in their lives. It will make an enormous difference.

This is something every person should hear. It will help you achieve and remain in a state of appreciation and show you how to operate in a state of gratitude. I have listened to it many times and have had friends and family listen to it as well. It is not some "hocus pocus" notion. This life changing book/ audio is about as powerful as it gets.
By changing the way we think, feel, percieve, we can be just about as happy as we want to be.
I especially liked the audio, because it needs to be listened to alot to really soak in and change your life. I leave mine in the car, and turn it on every time I jump on the interstate- a constant reminder of how wonderful things can be, and how blessed we already are on this earth!

Most of what is taught has been around, & revealed for centuries. ie: Bible teachings, and also "self improvement" courses, etc. However, 'The Secret' delivers these Truths in a fresh way, that enables the listener to easily assimilate & put them in to practice. So often, we find ourselves unhappy, and in circumstances that are contrary to what we desire, because we do not practice, or remember what we already know. The Secret Works, if consciously applied until it becomes an ingrained subconscious "auto pilot" way of life. No doubt, anyone can do this & live a more fulfilling, rich life!

I love The Secret. I have been going through Landmark Education and this really helps with the understanding of the whole philosophy. It explains how the whole world is one universe and we are responsible to the universe. Between The Secret and Landmark Education, I have learned that I have choices in life. In the face of life situations, I choose to be powerFUL instead of powerLESS. This has impacted my life as well as those around me. If we all start to live a powerful life, we can get out of ourselves and work FOR the greatness of others. We have an awesome world but are not treating it as such. Landmark Education will give you the tools to live a powerful life. It is incredible. I challenge everyone to look into these avenues to learn this philosophy and transform the world. With life comes death. Do you want to play the game of life or do you want to sit and watch it go by? From this time in your life, you have a choice....play the game or be a spectator? I know that until I leave this earth, I want to play full out and make sure that I have made a difference. I challange you to that also. The only difference between you and I, I have the education to live a powerful life and the life I love.....isn't that what you want also?

I liked the fact it makes me think about everything coming out of my mouth, but I didn't like the Aladdin example. The I can have and deserve everything is nice, but we already live in a society that feels that way. I wish they would have left the Aladding example out, but I did like most of the examples besides that. The best part was the reflection of the book's material and my knowledge of the Bible not to be two minded. If you don't know what you want you will never get it.

I first purchased the book, then the DVD, and then the audio. All are EXCELLENT. I've read the book 3 times. The book is nice and small and can fit in your purse. I read it during my lunch hour. I've watched the DVD 2 times. It's a little lengthy but great to put the faces to the names. I listen to the audiobook every day on my ride to and from work.
