The Ringer (DVD)

Jeffie (Stevie) tried to fix the special olympics, when he realizes that the people there aren't just slow retards, they are skilled and they do know what they're doing.

This movie was one of the funniest I've ever seen, I watched it and couldn't stop laughing everything was funny, and it made a point that you shouldn't make fun of or underestimate people that are a bit slow in the mind, it's not their fault and they can still do some of the stuff that an average human can do.

I thought that the great acting and the perfectness of all of the characters makes this one of my favorite movies.

I would suggest buying this movie.

When I first saw the trailer for this movie I couldn't wait to see it. I usually see movies in the theaters but I never found time to actually see it. When it went out of theaters I patiently waited for the DVD.

The tuesday it came out I went straight to my local Blockbuster and picked up it. Maybe it was the major anticipation, maybe it was my friends telling me it was hilarious, but I was extremely dissapointed.

What I found was a movie that tried for cheap laughs. Which is weird for me to say because I love cheap laughs, I hardly walk out of a comedy not laughing. I just didn't think it was funny, at all. There were some things that made me smile, but that was the extent of it.

I wouldn't reccomend this movie to anyone. I love Johnny Knoxville. I love the Jackass series and the movie. I love the alot of the recent comedies like: Wedding Crashers, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Waiting..., and Fun With Dick And Jane. The Ringer just didn't do it for me.

I love this movie I actually viewed it on an airforce base on the coast during the special olympics. We all laughed for hours behind this movie and could not wait until the release date to buy it. A must see!!! I recommend you buying this DVD you will love it!!!!

I really love this movie, I don't like these kinds of comedy's but this one is truly funny. I was put off at first with the premise of it, I think a lot of people are, but when I sat down to watch it I was laughing out loud. I think Johnny Knoxville is great in this role and really sells it, anyone else would have failed miserably with such a taboo topic. The mentally handicapped actors are hilarious, they really shine. I totally recommend this movie!

Ilike this movie because Johnny Knoxville can act so good and funny,he has a special talent to make you laugh and be serious at the same time,i bought it because my kids and i knew it would be a great movie and it is.

It took way longer than a month to recieve this dvd-actually just came today,Nov.1.When it did arrive it's a copy not the orginal dvd-which is illegal.Does ebay allow that??But what can you do,I had to pay by money order and didn't notice until after I had bid,if I leave a negative,I'll get a negative.

the movie was very interesting until it just quit. the dvd was a cheap burn and the seller is no longer rigistered so I cannot get any resolution to the issue....

Not only was this movie hilarious but it was well done! In the beginning I was a tad appalled by the plot line. Further into the movie I realized they weren't out to insult or offend anyone. It ended with a nice little life-lesson. Live, laugh, enjoy and appreciate what you have and what you were given. Never take life for granted and make the best you can of it!!!

i bought this movie because i got it off of ebay brand new and saved more money the i would have buying it at the store also i dont have to leave the house it all comes right to the front door i love ebay sooooo much

I pretty much laughed with this movie from beginning to end. The idea was a great one, and the execution was perfect.

I really loved it because of the way he tried to act like he was disable.I think the funniest part is when Jeffy's roomate says "u scratched my CD!!" I re-act that part to my friends a lot!!! This is a MUST SEE!!!

When I first saw the movie trailer, i thought i was going to be seeing a movie that was going to make fun of disabled people. I thought that it could be pretty funny, so i went out to see it. I was suprised to find that my assumption was wrong. I thought the movie actually was anything but a blow to the people who participate at the special olympics. Over all, the movie was not as funny as i expected, but definently made me think differently about people who face those conditions. I think this is a great movie that is suitable for everyone.

I liked seeing Johnny Knoxville acting retarded He is funny to watch and If you are a big fan of him you won't be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I liked this movie even though was a little crude in places, but that is expected from Johnny Knoxville. Good movie, I liked it alot.

so I wanted to see the movie. I thought it was in good taste and a movie all

No dislikes I enjoy watching this movie alot. I decided to buy this movie because I couldn't find it any where else and me and my wife really love this movie.

If you like to laugh you will love this movie! The Ringer, unlike several humorous movies, actually has a somewhat realistic plot, taking place at the Special Olympics, while introducing friendship, teamwork, love, and laughter throughout the movie.

BEST Movie Ever................ I laughed, I cried, a step away from his Jackass stuff... real movie feel. Also found out that the Special Olympics actually worked with them, they didn't make fun of anyone, Good Stuff.

I Saw the movie yesterday and it was pretty funny. I like the offbeat comedy of Knoxville. It did however make fun of the handicapped witch isnt funny. I do not think the handicapped were bring made fun of as mutch as Knoxville witch is verry funny.

This is a very irreverent look at one of the few sporting events that has not been corrupted by the outside world by betting and wagering against it. Johnny Knoxville was the perfect person to play the part that he was in. It is sometimes hard to tell the difference between weather he is acting or if he really is that way. It was an enjoyable movie and would recomend this movie to everyone.
