The Quilter's Kitchen by Jennifer Chiaverini (2008, Hardcover)

I have read all of Jennifer's books and this one has just disappointed me so much. Her other books are so detailed and have multiple stories within each book. This one lacks an interesting story line, other than remodeling a kitchen and lots of recipes theres just not much there. Compared to her other books I'm sorry to say this one falls short.

I have read every book the author has written, and "all" have been wonderful books. The story lines are always strong and entertaining. I couldn't hardly wait to read this latest book, but I admit I was disappointed. There wasn't a strong story line and most of the book was recipes. Some recipes looked good, but most were probably not ones you'd try. The same characters have been in all the books and that is a plus. Each time I read the author's next book, I feel like I'm visiting with old friends again. The same was true about this book. Frankly, I felt like it was more of a "cookbook" than a fiction book. There just wasn't much "story" to the book.

I just love all the recipies that are shared and the joy of the frendships and fellowship of the quilty women they create.
There is the fun of what comes next for Sylvia and the quick reads of Jennifer Chiaverini's work. She just keeps being inspired by all the quilt world has to offer and her amazing interpretations.
