The book is excellent. Grabs and holds you with its claws until its over. Loved it and again loved it. It was the first book in a few years that I finished in 2-3 nights. The only negative part is that it is ends so soon. I would read and read. Great, just great. Would make a nice movie base. An excellent gift idea. Looks very presentable.

Lauren Stillwell seems to have a good marriage. Sure, her husband Paul has been a little distant lately. But, all marriages have their ups and downs, right? Deciding to surprise Paul with an impromptu lunch date one day, Lauren unexpectedly catches him entering a hotel with another woman. To make matters worse, she's a younger woman.
Shaken, hurt, and assuming the worst, Lauren decides to go on a little payback mission. Unfortunately, her night of passion with a coworker ends tragically, and changes Lauren's life forever. Her little quickie sets off a chain of events that turns this once moral and upstanding woman into a manipulating liar and hypocrite. In the end though, Lauren finds out that even though fate can be cruel, sometimes cruel can be kind. And, sometimes fate willingly gives us a second chance.

I though Quickie was a good read, but it isn't as good as previous books. But after the bird kids, not alot will stack up to it. I enjoyed this book and had it read 3 hours, but it wasn't one that I will read over and over again like I have some of his other works.

I loved this book. Don't know about the complainers, but it drew me in and I read it overnight. The plot blew my socks off. Unexpected twists & turns. Without giving away any hints, it keeps you turning the pages. I definitely would recommend it as a Quickie read. I find all James Pattersons books a quick read. Don't know if it is because they are short or because I can't stop till it's over.
I love ALL the Lindsay Boxer ones. 1st to Die, etc.

Fantastic book that took a day to read. All of my friends are reading it and saying the same thing and we're all stay at home moms with small children. If we can get through it so quickly anyone can. The characters are amazing. He establishes story line immediately and holds interest until the breathtaking ending! I found myself walking around the house with the book open because I couldnt' wait to find out what happens next. The ending made the book even better because I so wasn't expecting that! If you love suspense, like I do, get this book!!! You will not be disappointed.

I bought this book after seeing it advertised on tv w/the plot described. Its been a long long time since I've had a chance to sit down and read a book. This is was the perfect choice. It kept me involved from start to finish. It had love, drama, adventure, thriller........... it had it ALL!! Excellent book!

Another surberb example of brillant writing. This book was EXCELLENT! Moved along so fast you thought you were the character. Many twists and turns you really couldn't quess the ending of this one. This one really keep you on the edge of your seat. Would make a great movie. Great surpense. Took less than a day to finish. But then saddnes, no more to read. Keep writing so we can read more.

I LOVE JAMES PATTERSON BUT I MUST SAY THIS BOOK DOESNT SOUND LIKE HIM AT ALL OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT IT IS FAST READING... ALMOST TO FAST AS THE CHARACTERS DONT SEEM TO HAVE ANY DEPTH TO THEM..IF YOU PUT IT DOWN YOU WILL LOOSE TRACK OF WHAT IS HAPPENING.. I PREFER THE OLE PATTERSON .. THE CROSS'S AND THE MURDER CLUB AND THE BIRD KIDS .. THIS BOOK DOESNT COME NEAR THEM.. BUT I AM AWAITING HIS NEXT BOOK DUE TO COME OUT IN SEPTEMBER..

I found this book hard to put down and read it through in 1 day (which rarely happens). The plot reflects his classic style of twists and turns, leaving one wondering what will happen in the end. It gives a new spin on the concept of "revenge" and the outcome thereof.

If you want to read a book that will get you really thinking and keep you reading non-stop this is the one. Just when you think something is going one way it totally gets turned around. I don't want to say too much an wreck it for you! JUST GET IT AND READ IT YOURSELF! I had the book from the library for 7 days and I read it in 5. It was awesome! I wanted it to continue on it was so good. I would put this book on my TOP FAV list of James Patterson along with Honeymoon! Get it! Read it! LOVE IT!

I have been a James Patterson fan for awhile, but this is the first book of his that I simply could not put down. I started it one morning and the next thing I knew it was dinner and I had completed the book!!! I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys mystery, and it is a must have for James Patterson fans!!!

I use to buy books AT THE book store and thru a book club... Not any more EBAY is the BEST..... Every book that I have bought was as good as new. No more high price books for me. I've read everything by James Patterson, and this book was just as good as his previous works. Although the story lines are usually predictable, it was an interesting plot. Different from any I've read in the past. A good light read, I got through it in about three hours.

James Paterson has always been one of my 2 favorite authors but this one goes way beyond fantastic. This is absolutely the best book I have ever read and the first time since I had my first child 22 years ago that I have ever read a book in one day!! Just when you think you have all the details, he throws something new in. A definite MUST READ!
