The Punisher (2005) (Xbox, 2005)

This game is great simply because it stays true to the lore of the Punisher that was developed within the pages of the comics. This game has some pretty good graphics, the story is alright (as with most comic based video games, it's pretty loose, but does the job) and the voice acting was done by Thomas Jane - so you get that same Punisher movie experience. It's a third person, meaning that you see the entire body of the Punisher. You'll use a variety of different weapons and tactics to take out a slew of enemies, plus a variety of super villains as well. The real meat of this game lies in the way in which you can torture enemies to extract information from them. Certain guys can divulge information, so if you sneak up on them and hit certain buttons when prompted, you can scare them to get the information out. An example would be dangling as guy's face inches above a pool filled with pirhanas and asking him to tell you where a particular individual may be located. The controls are rather awkward, but once you get used to how they work, you'll have plenty of fun as you torture victims along your way. Plus, once you get the information, you can either let them live or go ahead and follow through - such as in the previous example, you can go ahead and throw them in the pool of pirhanas and watch them be eaten alive. There's so many of these torture methods and points that the game really gets to be centered around that, but it's fun. While the controls might be similar for each one, the fact that they're different scenarios really keeps this from becoming to repetative of a game. The difficulty can be annoying at times, but it's nothing that is impossible to get through. Plus, along the way you may run into one or two other famous Marvel characters - or at least references to them. It's an all around great game that brought something new to the table for video games. I think any action fan will enjoy this and so will any Punisher fan.

The Punisher is a fantastic game and im a huge fan. The game I have had for so long but bought this one for a friend (infact i have bought most of my friends copies of this game) everyone I know who bought or played this game has loved it and have played and finished it as many times as I have, if you want a game to play when coming home from a stressfull daya t the office buy this one, its cheap, affordable and a great buy!

punisher is a classic xbox game, playable on 360 and should be a part of anybodies library. its roughly based off the movie and the garth ennis stretch of comics. over 100 different ways to execute yer enemy

I bought it for my son. Although it looks fun, it has a lot of blood and cursing. I guess it emulates the REAL world a little too much. It does have good action.

My son has really enjoyed playing this game..the graphics are okay and as with any boy the blood and gore is great...but not too intense,I would recommend this game

Great game with great play. You can take out a lot of frustration on the simulated characters and stick it to them with endless options.
