If you are looking for a recording of the film version, this is not for you, however if you are a fan of the Musical, you can relive the magic over and over again with this recording. While most of the musical is adapted from the novel, it really is hauntingly beautiful. While not a true Opera, the music and acting make it very entertaining. This recording has lines from the script so it is almost like following the musical. You can listen to this rather than going to the theatre. If you must get a C.D. of Phantom get the full Original Cast and not the watered down Highlights. This is guaranteed to bring hours of entertainment to any musical fan and even some Opera fans.
