The Pacifier (DVD, 2006, Widescreen)

I thought this was a very cute movie. If you are a Vin Diesel fan this movie is so funny. Not even close to his normal roles, he is able to bring something extra to this movie. It has a great story line and cast. Has a little of everything include action, romance, mystery, and comedy. Also perfect for any age. Did I mention there is a duck in the movie :) ?

But, here is a man, concerned about National SEcurity,
agrees to take on an assignment, to help the Bad guys,
unbeknownest to him. And falls in Love with a fellow
sailor (a female) who is also a principle of a school.
With Military bearings intact, and Espirit De Corps
he challenges, the would be brat-pack to an all out war
of the minds and his strengths. He helps the kids, come
to grips with one loss, improve on their strengths, challenge
the system. Do the part of the Underdog, and save us all from
calamity. Vin Diesel, is a good character actor in this movie
but Gary the duck steals a scene from him, when they both meet.
A great Family movie, and a funny military movie, for those
in the military who want a good laugh.

I live by one rule in my life... NEVER support Vin Diesel - easily the worst actor of this generation. Vin Diesel is simply awful - he can't act, he can't speak and he certainly isn't fit for a role in any family / children's movie. The Pacifier is a lame attempt at Arnold Schwarzenegger's success in Kindergarten Cop (great movie) , Hulk Hogan in Mr Nanny (funny and fun), Sinbad in House Guest, etc. Vin Diesel doesn't have the charm of any of these other guys and the movie is a failure.

I usually don't watch Vin Diesel movies, but I was on a plane and this was playing. I actually thought it was a good movie. It was cute and funny. A movie anyone could watch. It was simple and clean, but not boring.

Cute but predictable movie about an ex-special forces guy protecting his dead friend's family from spies trying to steal a special program the father invented before he was killed. It has its funny moments. My kids enjoyed it a lot and have watched it several times.

I love VIN DEISEL, and plus my kids thought it looked funny from the TV commercials. Anyway, the movie is not realistic at all. There are some funny parts but Vin had no business playing this part, must had been paid allot of money. I would not even bother watching again. My kids probaly would enjoy watching it, but it is not for grown ups.

Saw The Pacifier in the theatre and had to have it for my own collection. It's a great family film, lots of laughs.Vin Diesel pulls this off just great. Highly recommend for the entire family.

I give it 7 out of 10. At least there was a little charisma to the story and to the characters. It's a decent movie for all ages.

its a funny movie. it some coming together in the family, how everyone is different, and how things change when you let them. A+
and its something i can watch with my daughter(10 yrs old )

In my opinion this movie is very inappropriate for younger children. The beginning of the movie is very confusing and very violent along with the entire plot. The scenes include shooting, explosions and complete chaos. Because the movie has so much violence and this family/children are the main part of the plot, I thought it was very poorly made. Personally, the entire movie was quite strange and even though the movie is supposed to be funny, it is really not. I would not recommend this to anyone with children, maybe older teens and adults if they choose to watch it. I would say to not waste you time on this movie! I do not think most parents would like their young children watching this type of movie. There are other movies that are much better than this one.

This movie wanted to be "Kindergarten Cop" ... but is more of a 'Vin Diesel flop'.

The plot is weak and the acting weaker. Buff Vin is sent to watch over a family of troublesome kids, as danger ensues the kids grow to like their bodybuard. It's cliche and poorly acted.

I wouldn't suggest wasting your time on this one.

I was getting tired of waiting for this movie to come on t.v. and then i would miss it cause of work or my father or some other reason. I got sick of missing the movie so i had to get it now that i got it i love watching it.

I was hesitate about buying this one----because it starred vin Diesel, and I just was not sure it would be kid appropiate. However, the price was excellent, and I knew I could vet it before showing it to the grandkids. The movie is very cute and the grandkids and I loved it. They have watched it several times. rohulich

I thought this was a very cute movie, a wonderful movie for all.... If you are a Vin Diesel fan then this movie is for you.. this is a little different from the fast and the furious movies etc but so worth your time to watch.. FUN FUN FUNNY and FUNNIERthere was action, romance, and comedy. Again a little somethign for all to watch

I saw this movie for the first time just recently on cable TV and I wanted to see it again. It is similar to "Kindergarten Cop", a tough guy looking after a bunch of kids. Cute movie.

Another great disney film, show that diesel can play a great many roles. this is a fun family movie with mild violence, not enough to mention, lots of action and the rebelious actions of kids in a strange situation. good movie to keep on hand to entertain.

I decided to buy this movie because it is one of the funniest movies to watch. Vin Diesl is great in this movie. And the kids are super. Definitely one to buy.
