I found this book to be a great read! More about the ins and outs of collecting, than about Ebay itself, but did give easy to understand info about Ebay as well.
I would reccommend the book to someone just starting a collection of any kind.
This is a good overview of eBay. It gives detailed information on how to place bids and buy items. It also gives excellent information for sellers.
The book is divided into the following sections; The Thrill of the Hunt Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow Making Contact You Are What You Collect Putting It All Together
I thought the introduction by Pierre Omidyar was a great read. "eBay has given many people a way to achieve sucess on their own terms, whether that means becoming a self-sufficient businessperson, finding all the lost toys from one's childhood, or simply finding a bunch of like-minded souls."
This book is a great place to find eBay trivia. Recommended!
i like that it goes step by step. I was disapointed that it didn't explain the paypal portion and how they work together. I wanted to know who marks the $ on ebay for paid and if it is automatic. Paying for multiple items how that works. The icons/buttons who puts them on for paying, costs for paypal etc.

I had recently learned that an issue of a magazine called Romantic Times had been auctioned off for $100. Wow, I thought. I ve been saving these issues since mid 80 s. Maybe I should put a few of these up for bid myself. And that s what I did. The first was an anniversary edition with Fabio on the cover. (A rather nice picture I might add.)
