After reading all of the horrible reviews coming from the UK, I felt the strong desire to comment. I learned that most of the reviewers bashing it have only seen a few (at most) episodes from the first season - many haven't seen it at all, and are simply bashing it because of an overwhelming sense of pride in the original. I'd be surprised if this review isn't skimmed over and marked unhelpful by them. Obviously I'm not speaking to all the British, but the majority that unfairly judge this show with little to no basis in the truth.
This whole fanaticism is juvenile and petty. The casts of the US and UK versions love each show. Ricky Gervais even wrote and executive produced a few episodes of the US version. Open your minds, people! Most of the US fans KNOW that it's based on a British version. It has gotten the credit it deserves for being a brilliant and hilarious show.
But the American version is also brilliant and hilarious. I've read comments ranging from 'bad acting' to 'direct copy', neither of which are true. The first season may have had its borrowed bits, but that was to get it on its feet. The second and third seasons have proved that it is a show entirely on its own, with scenarios and characters having NOTHING to do with the UK version at all. The acting is just as convincing and real as the UK version.
This is the funniest, smartest American television show in recent history. Not since Seinfeld has a show made me laugh so hard and smile so much. This show gets better with each viewing and is great because there's so many levels of humor, from the apparent outrageousness to the minute details that are noticed after repeated viewings and are often funnier than the surface material.

Very few things make me laugh outloud, and I hardly even watch television, but The Office gets me everytime. Brilliant ensemble acting and adventurous, even risky, writing combine to make the funniest television series I've ever watched.

BEWARE of Scams!

I ordered the Office series, but got ane email saying there was a problem with the seller's PayPal account. I was then emailed an revised PayPal invoice which turned out to be a fake link...and I fell for it! Now I see someone, genetic71, is autioning the series at a low opening bids. The item location is US, but they are a United Kingdom member since December 08. Hmmm. 30 positive feedbacks....mostly on low cost autions...by buyers with little or no feedback themselves....and read the feedback...strange descriptions for the items the feedback is for. The whole thing looks like a setup to get a lot of money from the office series without delivering the product. Hopefully I am wrong, but those auctions just give me a bad feeling. I think I'll bid on ones with more feedback. Also, be aware much of these are bootleg. Only one seller I've seen claims to be selling the real deal. His price is higher, but he warns about the flood of bootleg DVD Office series on eBay...not just the ones shipped from China, either.

The picture of this product was misleading. I was under the impression that I would be getting the complete set, seasons 1-4, the Ultimate Package, but when I received my order it was just seasons 1-4, not in the special packaging like it said it was going to be. If this was just something I was getting for myself I wouldn't care, but I got it as a gift for someone so I was pretty disappointed.

You either understand the Office or you don't. My daughter loves it and I have watched it a couple of time and liked it as well, just not enough to make me a regular viewer.
Per my daughter, Steve Carell is great and leads the show. She finds the characters interesting and diverse and a realistic portrayal of what small offices are like. For her it rates excellent.

I wish I have thought of the jello gage myself. This is very funny, if you ever think your life at work is bad. Just watch a few episodes of "The Office" and you will appreciate your job more.

This guy was running a scam. After I made my payment he told me to withdraw my payment from paypal because he was having trouble with the account and to send it to him personally. This was done directly through my email, not through ebay. I then get a notice from paypal that he has no account and the account that he sent me was a totally different name. He had never sold anything before. I reported ASAP. And now I see they took him off. He scam one person who gave him negative feedback.

The office is greatThere is absolutley nothing to hate about the office. The cast is amazing and you could watch them over and over because the jokes are great and it keeps you laughing. The story does develope into a romantic hysterically funny show. You will love it that's what she said.

No wonder it's a hit!I don't get the channel "The Office" airs on, so I had only seen snippets of it--enough to know I would probably enjoy watching it at my leisure and to think it would be worthwhile to spring for the first four seasons.
I loved it so much, I buzzed through those DVDs in a couple of weeks, and recently ordered Season Five on eBay.
The awards this show has won, particularly for ensemble performance, are well deserved. I think Steve Carell made a wise choice to stick with "The Office" after his big screen movie career took off. The show would have died without him, and it deserves to live. I'd be hard pressed to pick out my favorite character. The show is full of the kind of characters you love and the kind you love to hate. All of them, without exception, are majorly funny. The "mockumentary" format works for this show. It could easily have been a farce, but in deft directorial and acting hands, it's a genuine hit and a delight to watch.....and that's what she said!

I like the fact that the Office was all 4 seasons instead of one box set of everything. Delivery took under 2 weeks from China. The only complaint I have is that one of the dvd boxes were broken but that's a delivery problem. Thanks so much!

Bought the Office season 1-4 at an amazing price in store purchase i would of had to pay triple the amount for them also i am impress by how fast the shipment came was in total shock when it came in my mail so early considering the distance it had to travel to reach me

Confusing communicationThere was a huge mix up with the payment. Made me worry that I had been scammed. Communication was confusing (using/cancelling so many email accounts). In the end I have received my item and am pleased with it.
