This classic book (in my eyes) is timeless and fun no matter how many times you've read it...The story is exciting and fresh even if you've seen the film over 100 times, as I have...The is a Must Have Book for anyone’s collection!!!

The story was great and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good romantic love story... It was based just like the movie...

I read this book in one night. Once I picked it up I could not put it down. I wouldn't say it's better than the movie but it does provide more details and answer some unanswered questions. I loved it.

One of my favorite movies is "The Notebook" based on the above book. I know that movies usually don't completely follow what's in the book and I want to read this book to see what is different between the movie and the book.

Nicholas Sparks is by fair one of my favorite authors. This book will not be a disappointment to you. It is written with true empathy for true love. You will not want to put it down. Read the book before you see the movie. I highly recommend this book.

Nicholas Sparks is such an amazing writer! This story is a TRUE love story! I have never read anything from him that I did not like. I read the book, watched the movie, read sequel to the Notebook, The wedding! Amazing twist! These books you start reading and they keep you on edge till the end!!!

The book is much different from the movie but with the same beauty. I saw the movie before reading the book, but I was just as pleased with the book as I was with the movie. Touching, and inspirational.

My 13 year old daughter loved it! She read it in 1 day. She wants to read everything by this author now.

Sometimes you read the book first and then watch the movie, but I did it the other way around this time. I've only read the first chapter of the book but have to say, so far, that the movie wins by a landslide. Maybe the rest of the book will turn out to be better, but then again I may just be disappointed. The plot that the book squished into the first ten pages make up the majority of the film. I am a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks, so that is why I bought this book (among 8 of his other books). If you are a hopeless romantic, I HIGHLY recommend any Nicholas Sparks book!!!

I decided to buy this book after watching the movie. It was well worth the money! The love story is timeless and Nicholas Sparks does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life! This book is heartwarming and sincere. It gives you hope that true love is still alive, and can prevail over anything. I believe that Nicholas Sparks is going to be one of the greatest writers our generation shall know! I highly recommend this book to everyone!

I wanted to read this before seeing the movie- BOTH were awesome! But of course the book is better! This book is for women and men- it took me back to my first love, childhood and into adult hood. It makes you take a different take on the things you have done and haven't done in your life- It spoke to me inside and out - I laugh and I cried several times! It is just so awesome that words can't describe all it made me feel because of deep emotions that obviously laid dorment for years! Before I had read this book this "love story" type fictional book was NOT the kind of book of choice for me - but now I have to get another one! Awesome Author that paints such an awesome picture with great ease- I will definantly get more from him! THIS IS A MUST READ BOOK AND MUST TELL A FRIEND about it book! Happy reading....(oh yeah if you are a man- don't read it in front of anyone you may not want to cry in front of!) If you need a good cry...or if you are a writer then this one is for you...(as it sure made me get on a writing frenzy!)

I love this movie and I wanted to know if the book and the movie was exactly the same. The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks is my favorite movie. I was watching everyday at one point in time. I decided to buy this book from this person because the book has been used and when something has been used noone wants to pay an outrageous price on something, if you know what I mean. The transaction was fast and the book came in really fast! The book is great.

This book is interestingly written. It is a romantic story; however, the love scenes are tastefully done and should offend no one. The Notebook could be read in an evening or two, but I chose to read it more slowly and savor the moments. This book has renewed my interest in reading, and I will definitely read more books by Nicholas Sparks. The Notebook will touch your heart, so be prepared to weep. My only complaint about this book: it is hard to read the print when your eyes are filled with tears! Definitely worth the time, The Notebook will uplift and inspire, and leave you with a renewed faith in true love.

I loved the Notebook movie, so I decided I should buy the book and see how different it was. It was different, but all and all it was a great story to tell. The only thing I didnt like, was that they didnt tell what happened to Sarah in the book.
