The Nightmare Before Christmas (Blu-ray Disc, 2008, Collector's Edition)

So I get a bluray player and decide to purchase Nightmare Before Christmas because my girlfriend loves the movie. This seller has it but it comes with NO BOXART and said it would be shipped in a bluray case. After 7 days, i get it. And i play it and it doesnt work. IT HAS A CRACK in the disc. I promptly contact the seller and he sends me a reply:

"I apologize for this, please visit ymu1.com for return intructins and please accept my apology."

Well, his return policy is that you HAD TO of purchased insurance or he wont take it back. ALSO, it HAS TO be shipped back to him within 8 or ten days of the auction closing. Needless to say, I WAS SCREWED BY THIS SELLER!! HE SOLD ME A CRACKED BLURAY DISC, probably knowingly. Thats why it had no case.

Furthermore, I leave feedback saying 5stars for shipping (it was free) and appropriate feedback regarding the other things ebay wants to know. I was truthful. I left negative feedback saying THE DISC WAS CRACKED! BEWARE THIS SELLER! CAN NOT RETURN ITEMS. ANd then i get another email from this guy saying:

"You never even contacted us. Pathetic lying child."

PATHETIC LYING CHILD!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I did contact them. ANd i get A HARRASSING EMAIL SAYING IM A PATHETIC LYING CHILD!! THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE DEALING WITH!!!!! BEWARE!!!

THIS GUY IS A MEAN INDIVIDIUAL WHO LIES ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE LYING. THIS IS THE KIND OF PERSON YOU WATCH OUT FOR WHEN YOU GO TO THE FAIR BECAUSE THEIR PRODUCTS ARE BROKEN OR CHEAP RIPOFFS AND THEN WHEN YOU DONT PLAY THEIR GAMES THEY INSULT YOU.

I WOULD SAY WATCH OUT FOR THIS LYING NO GOoD DIRTY YELLOW-BACKED "SELLER" OF BROKEN GOoDS AND IF YOU DO WANT TO RETURN SOMEHTING, HE WILL MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO RETURN AND THEN INSULT YOU FOR WANTING TO RETURN A DAMAGED ITEM.

BEWARE. THIS PERSON IS A CHEATER!!! CHEATER!!! WATCH OUT!! YOU WILL GET BURNED!!

I love the music in the movie and the graphics are excellent on blu-ray def worth it. If you are considering buying it wait no longer.

Tim Burton at his best! This movie is ingenius and has the perfect mix of comedy and good storytelling. Definitely a must-have movie!!

i loved the dvd it was great. no scatches. good conddition. i enjoyed watching it with my family. Th eseller sent the product to me very quickly... it was nice receiving it as soon as i did. This film is a true one of a kind gem! Of course a must have for fans who adore the art of stop motion animation. I had reservations about showing this movie to my 3 year old son since it is a bit on the dark side. But in all honesty the idea of Halloween…or what it has become…a corridor of webbed, dark and scary themed characters such as our other famed Nightmare movies…like Nightmare on Elm Street. But getting back on track to this fantasy filled musical. I decided to let my son watch it since it is a musical film which is another dazzling part of the movie that will capture kids of all ages. I don’t even want to imagine what this movie would be without the musical genius of Danny Elfman. After watching the movie my son absolutely loves it and he didn’t find it all scary. Oogie Boogie has become his favorite character which he calls the blanket. I deem this movie safe for children to watch unless your child is sensitive to scary themes.

I love that this is such a great Halloween movie for kids. It is not a movie you can drop your kids in front of and walk away but I sat down with my daughter who at the time was 3 and watched it together. When things got a bit scary she would ask questions and I would explain that it was pretend because Halloween is all about dress up and being something different whether it funny, silly, scary, or ugly.
Now she loves it and the music and she likes acting like some of the characters.
I am sure some children will be more sensitive to the movie so it is best that you watch it first and decide if it is something that you think your child is ready for. I just emphasized the dressing up and the silly parts and down played what might seem scary, but every child is different.
Whatever you decide it is a unique and original movie. Enjoy!

I love A Nightmare Before Christmas, and decided to buy it because I recently acquired a blue ray player for christmas.

I am glad that I found this deal on ebay. I loved this movie for years and am glad that it finally came out on blu-ray.

I like the fact the movie was recieved in great conditions and what made me buy it is the fact i like the movie and the seller had great reviews.

I have always liked the movie since wayyy back when it was released. If you enjoy Christmas related animation with a great story behind it than you must get this movie! Also for it to be made into Blu-Ray with updated "CLEAR-NESS! Visuals", it is a MUST HAVE. Worth the buy to add to your collection of Movie Memories.

I love this movie. The blu-ray is makes it even better. I love all the music Tim Burton and Danny Elfman work well together.

The DVD arrived in great time. It was in new condition. All communication with the seller was answered promptly.

This is a great Movie --now a classic in our family when we have our Christmas Nite/Week Movies we have collected over the years....But you haven't seen anything until you see it in Blu-ray. (PS3 or Sony Blu-ray player work best I think). Colors, shapes, textures are more pronounced. Blu-ray in a brick and mortar store can be very expensive --in the mid to high $30+ range--so I always look for Blu-ray on Ebay. Can't wait till Blu-ray prices drop in general.

Im a huge movie buff! I love these types of animated maovies! Definetely one to have in the collection. Great for all ages! Just a great movie all the way around! One everyone can enjoy!!

This movie was good and clear before blu ray, but now in hi definition it is extremely clear. If you have a blu ray player, its definitely worth the buying.
