The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (DVD, 2008)

The Mummy: tomb of the Dragon Emperor is the fourth movie in the Brendan Fraser Mummy series (well, 5th if you include The Scorpion King Movie).

This movie sees some changes to the cast as we have a grown up kid for the O'Connells and a change in the actress that plays Eve (I miss RRachel Weisz).

The movie follows the same pattern but this time we are dealing with a Chinese Mummy instead of an Egyptian Mummy.

O'Connells accidentally wake up Mummy, go on epic journey to defeat Mummy, Run into some problems, then Defeat Mummy. Meh.

This is one of those popcorn movies where you go to watch the special effects not the story line. To me the cutest part was the animation on the Yeti's. :)

3/5 Not bad but not spectacular. A great way to burn a Saturday afternoon at home.

Very good film-nice continuation of the exploits of the O'Connel's.
Action packed film. Maria Belo a little off mark in the role of Evie-here's hoping they bring back Rachel Weize in any future sequels. BUT, this is a GREAT
film for the entire family-not too too violent, plenty of action for the guys and just enough romance to satisfy the ladies.

Good but not as good as the first two . Too much special effects. New "Evie" not as good.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is a wonderful movie with all the action you could want and a good plot. The actors are all just great in their roles.
You will be a scared and you will laugh.

Casting another Evie was a horrible mistake!! This movie was a joke! It even seemed Brendan didn't like playing the part of her husband. There was no chemistry at all!! She looked older than he did!! The love that the original Evie and O'Connell has was undeniable, and could not be replaced! I was so disappointed. Jet Li couldn't even save this movie.

I loved the previous Mummy films and thought this would be just as good, but it really was not. They should have stopped at the last film. Some of the special effects did not look realistic at all. I know that they could do better. The story line wasn't much better. Of course the scenery was quite beautiful but that did no make up for the film.

VERY disappointed in this film! It is the worst of the Mummy movies. Rachel Weisz does not reprise her roll as Evie and the woman that plays her does a HORRIBLE JOB! That's alot of the reason I didn't enjoy this movie was her! And they also have the O'Connell's son all grown up and estranged! Brendan and Rachel have chemistry, this other woman and he do not! It just doesn't flow like the other Mummy movies either. I recommend you save your money. This movie isn't needed with the other 2, it in no way is needed to complete your library.

Was exactly what they said it was and a great deal. Had priced this at stores for over double this amount so this was a really good deal. They have a lot of things to choose from and I had looked for this and could believe the deal I got they also shipped it so fast and came in really good condition. I bought this movie because I love The Mummy series. It was good to see Rick OConnell back in action. I didn't find the movie as good as the previous ones. It seemed tired and reaching. At the same time; I did find other parts a lot of fun. I miss the 'original' wife; and think the movie would have been a lot better if Rachel Weisz had been recast. All the actors were good; but it didn't seem to have the same chemistry. It was also strange to find them retired; when they looked as young as their son. I did like the original plotline; it could have been tightened up and strengthened. It had a lot more potential. I still enjoyed the movie; and will watch again. Looking forward to the next movie.

this movie completes my collection of the muumy so i am thrill about it i liked everything about this movies and the only dislike about it that it wasn't long enough for me but it all good and i decided to buy it because it was a great price for a great movie

I liked this movie because I am a Brendan Fraser fan and I saw this in the theatre and loved it. The only thing it was missing is Rachel Weis.

Very fast delivery and the DVD was in excellent shape. I like scifiction movies that are very funny and they have a great story to them.

As always, Brendon Frasier is perfect, but Rachel Weisz is severely missed! The chemistry is not the same with the new Evie, but the movie has great special effects and a good story line to take your mind off of missing her. Rick and Evie are "retired" both bored out of their minds when the opportunity to get back in the game comes along. They both jump at the chance and are off on another journey that involves their son, too. It's good to see that the "aging" Mom and Dad can still teach the son a thing or two, and the son shows what he's made of. Of course, Jet Li is superb! Loved the movie!

This wasn't as good as I had hoped. If the original cast would have been complete then maybe it would have been better. A must see for the Mummy lovers.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I am such a fan of the first two but wasn't sure if the third installment would live up to the first two. Great special effects and action. The only aspect of the movie I didn't like was the new actress that plays Evelyn. She isn't nearly as dynamic in the roll as the original.

i liked the movie alot of action , the tombs traps were pretty cool ,a sequal to the mummy series . it had great special effects and was worth watching
