The Motorcycle Diaries (DVD, 2005, Full Frame)

This movie was beautifully made and is very seamless. I enjoy foreign language films. This one has an overall spirited, uplifting, hopeful tone.

I'd say this film is more of a renter. I purchased it for a friend, and after watching it ourselves, while we enjoyed it, we weren't blown away and probably isn't a film you would watch over and over. It was nice to finally understand (a part) of the story of CHE.

Ivlike this movie for the history. I love history and honestly Gael Garcia prove his talent great actor.

Great story with excitement for travelers and/or people that want to get away from everyday basis, to a land and adventures of two entertaining and unique characters that try to do what it takes to fulfill their dreams and goals through speed bumps, troubles, real life situations and love along the way in a Continent of beautiful countires of South America, to unite it as one.

the dvd is great in providing an entertaining story about the early life of che guevera. very good movie with funny moments.

This is an excellent movie about Ernesto "Che" Guevara and his travels with a friend on a motorcycle through South America. It is funny, emotional, real, honest, and just plain enjoyable. I highly recommend it! Even if you can't understand Spanish, it's worth watching with English subtitles.

This is a great movie about young Che. The photography, and the scenery are outstanding. This movie was well done showing the native people living in the area. It makes a person want to take the same trip.

I loved this movie! Even though I am Argentinean, my perception is that we all got to know a one-sided story about Ernesto Guevara, and this movie offers a different view of him. You can see him as a person, just one of the rest, not the sedicious revolutionary that he later on becomes.
I am a Spanish teacher in NC and I use it a lot for my classes. Besides, the movie gives you a unique visual of Latin American landscape.

The often lambasted tale of Che, this offering shows the true nature of Che. You can connect the dots yourself later how the CIA or US Govt tries to kill someone who is fighting off another oppressor. Democracy seems to be just about that, alas.

Che travels during his younger days, much like you and I, after university to "see the world". Little did he know about the suffering of others. He sees with his own eyes. Exploitation by powerful countries or companies. Just think: when you did your trip across Thailand, or Laos, this was what he went through. Albeit the situation was purely the Imperialism of South America by Spanish rule, then by ruthless warloads and those backed by US supposedly to stem "communism".

After finishing: you can know that democracy does not equal to be "good" per se. And communism/socialism isn't "bad" per se. It's the people behind them with the evil or bad intention that distorts it all.
