This is yet another Disneyana guide by the eponymous Disney duo Heide and Gilman. And again, they have put together a wonderful guide for anyone interested in Disney watch collecting, whether a novice or expert.

They have condensed the subject into an easy-to-read, small sized book that's full of pertinent photos (approximately 100) of watches, advertisements, publications, graphics, and other visual aids to accompany their well-written text. This is a great addition to any Disney collectors library. The book covers the history of the Mickey Mouse watch (and other Disney watches) from its beginnings in 1933 to present day (1998) watch models. The book sections are broken down into decades, with chapters outlining the important milestones in that time period. With so many timepieces to cover in each of these decades, the authors have done a fabulous job of concentrating on particular pieces that are crucial to watch collectors. It's invaluable for identifying not only the timepieces covered but for understanding the social history and trends of each decade and how they reflected on Disney watch collecting, and is full of fun facts and lively anecdotes on the subject.

The book includes the original market prices of most of the watches listed but is not a values guide. It does not list current monetary values of the watches covered, so if you are only looking for a values guide this won't help you. However, if you are looking for a fun, enjoyable, easy-to-understand and entertaining guide to Mickey Mouse watch collecting, this is a must for your library. You will go back to it time and time again.
