The Message by Eugene H. Peterson (2006)

I love this bible. I teach Sunday School to High School girls and they can read it and understand it. I can't recommend it highly enough. If it makes them want to read the bible, that means more to me than anything else.

I bought this Bible for a lady in our church. I already have one. If you ever wanted to read the Bible, but were put off by the old and unfamiliar use of the English language, this is the Bible for you. The Message is written is contemporary language and reads like a novel. It tells this great story in today's words. Try it, you'll like it!!

Easy to read. My first step in bible study. I read The Message and move on to my NIV. Also, I read for the pure enjoyment. Not a heavy study tool just a pleasure to read in easy to understand terms.

I bought this for a Christmas gift. I have a copy that I really enjoy but I use it in addition to my Bible. I do not recommend this book to replace a Bible but rather to enhance your Bible.

I like this bible as an alternative to get a different perspective on the mesage of the Bible. It is nicely written in a modern tone, however I still suggest comaparing to the KJV or NKJV as they are true translations from original text and these Bibles may put a spin on a verse different from original text that may only be understood from those well versed in the Bible.

I never recieved my bible. When I contacted the seller they never e-mailed me back as to why I did not receive it.

I loved this Bible... It speaks in modern terms not the old KJV where there is alot of this thou and thus... God can really use this tool to speak to the moderm world who thinks We as Christians are stuck in the day's of Roman Solders... BE BLESSED...

I was interested in obtaining this book as another version of the Bible, which is more detailed in everyday living in the present time. I am happy with it and would recommend it as an addition to someones regular version they might read on a daily basis.
