The Matrix (1999, DVD)

The Matrix is a great movie for so many reasons. You have a great soundtrack, prefect actors, action scenes like no other, and special effects that are jaw dropping. Keanu Reeves stars as Neo who leads a pretty boring life. All the sudden he gets a message to follow the white rabbit, then has to choose between the red and blue pill, learns Kung Fu, and has to become "The One". While he doesn't believe he is "the One" Morpheus does and does everything he can to train Neo the best he can. This movie also introduced bullet time, a very cool special effect. My favorite part of this movie is when he walks into a building, the metal detecter beeps and the guard asks him to remove any metal objects, you should know the rest and if you dont, you need to See this movie! It is a great movie all around!

Actually, I bought this CD to replace my VHS. It has already gotten lots of play. There is such an intricate world here, and an almost believeable premise - well, possibly believeable. Great for Sci-Fi fans and thinkers. No fluff here!

I decided to buy this movie because I seen it some time ago and liked it and I knew it was a trilogy which I also seem to like. The story goes on... This movie is the first in the trilogy and was good. It took me a little while to try and understand and at times I felt like I didn't really have a grip on the content. It's hard to explain really but I recommend the movie.

Everything about this DVD was as-promised by the seller. Obtaining "The Matrix" was well worth the wait. Overall, the acting and storyline were definitely better than another Keanu Reeves film, "Constantine," which I recently acquired. I probably won't purchase the 2 sequels in "The Matrix" trilogy; although if you're left "unfulfilled" at the end of this film, you should at least see the other two. It was a pleasure doing business with the seller--highly recommended!!!

I give this movie 5 stars. I'm sure that anyone who has seen it will agree. For those of you who haven't, you don't know what you missing. Get a copy, and enjoy.

The movie was pretty good with all the special effects. Different story line and
great group of actors and actress. Overall a good movie to watch.

The movie has great acting, great action and is down-to-the-wire exciting. As a Christian I also find the theology intriguing as it opens up possible dialogue between Christian and post-Christian cultures. Some of language is unnecessarily harsh since the movie would have been equally good without it. eBay is a good place to buy movies since you can often buy them for less than the cost of a nation-wide chain movie rental store.

This movie from them was a very decent price, was shipped in a good amount of time and arrived in great condition. Smooth transaction, would buy from again.

The first and best of the Matrix films.  The idea is new and the actors are fresh in their roles.  There are times when sequels are a good idea and times when they are not.  This movie should have stood alone.  I highly recommend this movie.  If you haven't seen the sequels, don't bother.  They only distract from the tight story line that began and ended with this film. Speaking of sequels, has anyone found a cure for James Bond?

This is an excellent movie well worth watching. It is actually based on deep philosophical ideas that some of us have pondered before. It is well written with a good story line and packed with a lot of action and special effects. When you see it a second time it loses a lot of its impact, because it is based on the element of surprise and once you have seen it is no longer surprising. If you have never seen it, see it, especially if you like to think about existencialism.

Hard to get in the stores. Brilliant film. The 1st film is always the best. Good action and special effects. Ive always enjoyed watching it.

Keanu Reeves delivers an awesome role in this great action explosive science fiction movie. I loved the graphics and the story/plot. This movie is excellent for all ages. My family and I had a house fire and this movie was at the top of my list of ones I needed to replace, IMMEDIATELY!! Highly recommended.
