The Man (2006, DVD)

I saw this movie for the first time on HBO. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised that it was as good as it was. Eugene Levy is not one of my favorite actors. But Samuel L. Jackson is. Hence why I had to check it out. I was very enteretained throughout the entire movie. Eugene Levy was PERFECT for the role he played in the film. I have to give him credit. Samuel L. Jackson is great in every movie. His character and demeanor remains the same in this movie as with any other he is in. I feel the writer of this movie was a GENIUS for putting the story together where 2 actors like these 2 would actually work VERY WELL together. They compliment each other very well much to my surprise. It is a very funny movie with some pretty good action in it. It isn't over the top kind of action. But none-the-less it was really entertaining. It is worth watching 1,2 or 10 times. I haven't bought the DVD because I have it on DVR. The movie is DEFINATELY worth seeing. I am not real sure about adding it to me "keepers" collection though. I have a tendency of buying DVDs on eBay and saving the nonkeepers in a pile and selling them in a lot about once a year to get some money back on the ones that are just real bad or just a little shy of making the keepers list. This particular movie (in my opinion) is worth seeing. But is JUST shy of the keepers list.

If you are looking for a good fun movie, "The Man" is a good one to rent. The story is good, and it flows well, if you are looking for a new movie to pick up, or rent, I would rate this one right at the top of new movie releases.
