I read this book from cover to cover and it reads like a James Bond thriller. Not only that, it describes who the movers and shakers are in the antiquities market. If you have something ancient to sell (I'd like to know about it) then you need this book to get to know what's "out there", the pitfalls and dangers (YES THERE ARE!)as well as the legal issues involved in selling something that will be in the public eye. A well researched, informative and enjoyable read. I highly recommended if your interest is in ancient Biblical texts as well.

I try to keep an open mind about most subjects, including my strict catholic education; I could not get past the first chapter. Number one it is boring.
I wanted to find out more about what the gospel said, not how it was discovered. So, I jumped to the last chapter! No enlightenment there either. I think the book was written more for the ones who like finding things, deep, dark things. I for one, will take the bible version.
