Pros: I've read many forums giving this game praise. I can't stress enough, if you're an avid RTS gamer or have played them in the past, You need to pick up this game. It won't let you down! It's really fun to play using Xbox Live and the built-in VoIP chat. And yes, the control scheme does work... Even the single player is fun, as it takes stuff from the books that parallel what you see in the movies. This game is remarkably fun. I had my doubts at first, but the control scheme was setup very well and it hasn't lost my interest yet. Either way, playing a Stategy game on the console is really fun, especially since you can kick back and play from your favorite gaming chair or couch.

Cons: Yes, the performance is a slow at times, but it's a very complex game, both visually and gameplay-wise... the fun factor far outweighs the performance slowdowns.

I was never a fan of real time strategy games but when I read reviews for this game I thought it might finally open me up to the world of RTS's. NOT!!!

The game is great is what my son saids. It came every fast with the weather in TX thank you for your quit mailing.

I bought for my nephew and he told me it's really good a lot fiction he always love this kind of game.

I didn't think it would be possible to have a good RTS game on a console but then BFME2 came along and proved me wrong. If you have a 360 and want to check out a great RTS game pick this one up!

NOT CRAZY ABOUT IT TO BORING!!!!!!!! NO ONE ON ONE SWORD FIGHTING AND NO GREAT BATTLES AS IN THE OTHER GAMES MADE FOR LORD OF THE RING SERIES. NOT RECOMENDED.

Concept:Take the warcraft engine and set it in Middle Earth.

Graphics:The graphics on this game really demonstrate the power of the Xbox 360. There can be hundreds of units on screen at once but every single unit has its own little details. For example, if one unit has low health it will appear thin and wasted. The special effects are superb also. Watching the Balrog breath fire all over your enemy base is a once in a lifetime experience... until you tell it to do it again. There is only one flaw with LOTR's graphics. I noticed a lot of slowdown in the tutorial and when there were hundreds of units being blown into the air.
I would give the graphics a 9 out of 10.

Gameplay:This is where the game excels. Good graphics are a nice touch, but it's the gameplay that makes or brakes the game. EA did a great job with porting the keyboard and mouse interface over onto the Xbox 360. The controls, while they do take some time to learn, are fluid as can be. Buildings all require actual strategic and tactical placing. You also need to coordinate your units very well. So be warned, if you expect to just rush the base, do not buy this game.
The gameplay gets a solid 10/10.

Entertainment: Another important quality of a game is how fun it actually is. I'm happy to say that LOTR:BFME II is one of the funnest games I have ever played. It will definitely keep you entertained for years. It is also easy to learn so you don't need to be an RTS vet to play this game. The game of course includes a single player mode but the real fun is online. There are several different types of online play including capture the flag. Add to this team matches and over 40 maps to choose from and you've got yourself a solid title.
I give the entertainment a 10 out of 10.

Had to buy this game as the entire family is Lord of the Rings fans...This game differs greatly from the others out there, in that you control everything which contributes to your victory or defeat in each part of the game. USE the Tutorial, and pay attention to how to build resources in each situation..For all you fellow LOTR freaks out there who own a Plasma/LCD/other flat panel HD type TV, check out the awesome graphics and detail included in this game. If you do not enjoy games involving strategy, you might be disappointed with this one. But, once you get into the game, it is hard to stop playing!!

Not what I thought it was but ok. More for adults than my 12 year old. Requires alot of strategy and planning.

If you like Lord of the Rings Movie or not this is a great strategy game! You know the ones where you have to build towns, gather resources, navagate ships, create armies, and enhance powers. The graphics are HD quality and it has a pretty good storyline. I have only tried the online play a couple of times, and have been beaten each.. but it ran smooth. This game is a very simular to Diablo and Command & Conquer. I must add, you have to know nothing about Lord of the Rings to do well in this game and it ia not like most of the cheesey games that are made for movies.

The combination of The Lord of the Rings and a realtime strategy, I couldn't resist. Its a great game, great campaign, but something is missing in skirmish modes. The strategy part of skirmish is lacking. If your an RTS fan, I recommend!

Replace all the characters in WarCraft with LOTR and this is what you get. Its maybe 1 rental, however its all personal preference. If you still love WarCraft Frozen Throne, then this is for you. However nothing ground breaking as far as these types of games.

The Lord of the Rings movie series is my favorite. This game represents realistic LOTR battles. I wish they would add the missions from the original Battle for Middle Earth for the PC to the XBOX 360, since they more directly relate to the movies. It is fun to play the new goblin, dwarf and elf faction though.

I though this game was a waste of my life. I am a hard-core lotr fan but this just wasnt my kind of game. I loved the first one but this one really was tough for xbox 360. The units were hard to control and the a.i kind of sucks. Do rent first before you purchase this item. Not worth alot of money in my opinion. It also laged alot on my xbox.

Pretty much if you love RTS(real time strategy) games and you have an XBOX 360 this is the game for you (being that it is the only RTS out yet for the 360)
The online game play is GREAT! I love this game I play it all the time. The only downfalls to it are:
-It is only a 4 player game
-You can't send invites to friends in ranked games
-Sometimes the game gets a bit choppy when there are a lot of men on the screen

Positive things:
-The controll style is fabulous!
-the graphics are amazing
-Pretty much this game is AWESOME I play it all the time. You should get this game.
