) My daughter loves Thomas the Tank Engine. THis is about the only other alternative for a Cho Cho video. She loved it for about 2 weeks (which is about her attention span)...I think we watched it at least 5X a day. It's older but still very cute

My children really love the Little Engine that Could story. I have bought them a variety of items related to the story; even a first edition of the orignal book. I saw this on Ebay and thought we might enjoy it. However, I knew I was taking a gamble.
I was a little suspicious when I didn't see any re-releases on DVD. Well, it was horrible, just dreadful! It was a very dark version of the story. First, the big sister in the story is over the top mean to her younger brother who believes in the Little Engine. Next, the Little Engine "sneaks-off" to pull the Birthday train. Finally, the mountain is very dark, scary, and treacherous that the Little Engine crosses. At one point you are lead to believe that the train and toys might all have been destroyed by a breaking bridge. Too much peril for such a sweet, simple story.

A great video for kids 3 to 5. Great animation that really excites kids. It is my grandson's favorite video from my kids collection. It could be a little scary for some youngsters but all ends well.

This is a great childrens book in teaching that if they try hard They can do it. I found it for a retired teacher who worked with special needs children and wanted it for her two year-old granddaughter. I liked it so much that I got it for my one year old grand niece and she loves it!!! I highly recomend for all children as it can generate disscusion as a modle of posative self estemm
