  A Fan's Point of View

My choice to buy this product was to have a collection of games available that could be anyone's entry into the world of Zelda!

Zelda is and continues to be one of the best titles Nintendo has ever put together. Link who is representing the hero of time, in this collection, hacks and slashes his way through the land of hyrule to save the fair princess Zelda. Ganandorf "GANON" keeps his sights set on the power of the triforce to inslave the world with its power. These installments of the story seem to drawn you in as you take Link on his adventures, collecting items and weapons to aid you on your journey along the way.

One of the most amazing quests in the series is the Ocarina of Time (included). Link in 3D and a quest as epic as ever. The replay value of this game is key with so many extra mini quests and items to collect.

The one that started it all, ZELDA (included) is a must have for any fan of the story. A challenging adventure to this day with alot of fun all the way.

Zelda II, the advnetures of Link (included), is a different approach to the series but has some interesting attributes. Not the greatest Link quest but a fun adventure none the less.

Majora's mask (included)is one of the most puzzling and exciting versions. This game will rack your brain to get the masks necessary to reach the end.

All and all, if your new to the adventures of Link, this collection will give you the opportunity to delve into his world and come out the other side begging for more. Luckily for you, there is more where this comes from. Enjoy this collection, grab your master sword and head into the land of Hyrule, Zelda needs your help!!!

I am a huge fan of the Zelda series. They are just great games. This collection in particular was an awesome idea. They took two of the original NES titles and paired them with the two N64 titles. This is a must have for any true Zelda fan, of course if you are a true fan you probably already own this or the original games themselves. Just for the record the games included are|:The Legend of Zelda, The Advendures of Link, Ocarina of Time, and Majoras Mask. There is also a demo for The Wind Waker. All games are complete and like the originals. So if you are a long time fan or new to the Zelda experience, This is the perfect game for you. PS it works on the Wii too.

This is a great collection of the best games of all time-- especially the Ocarina of Time. Majora's Mask is also a great game.
If you are a Zelda fan this collection is a must have. Playing the first game of Zelda on the 8-bit "Legend of Zelda" is like going back in time playing the old NES.... excellent!
Also since these games are re-formatted in 480i HD progressive scan this is worth checking out if you have the hardware.

Don't buy the games on wii network. You will be better off buying the collection and saving money. Just buy the Zelda A Link to the Past on wii ware which is not on the collection. This is probarly one of the greatest games of all time.

Two of the older games in the package can put you to sleep. The other two games a good. I think the game is overrated for the amount of money people are asking for it.

Well-here we have the 2 games that started, one that made you defy and control time against the freakin' moon & the greatest single N64 game made (IMO) in one All-Star like game for the Nintendo GC. You can look everywhere for a flaw here - but I am sure that God Himself would pat Mr. Miyamoto in the back and say "Thy games rocketh even greater in unison Nippon's Son".

To be honest I bought this compilation just for Ocarina of Time - but Zelda I, II & Majora's Mask are outstanding games to have even in the age of flawless graphics these games in the squarish simplistic roots still show why Zelda is the 2nd greatest franchise of Nintendo's arsenal of Masterpieces.

45/10 for this Godly game

What can I say, if you love the Zelda series, then you won't be disappointed with this game.

It's a bonus Legend of Zelda Disc that includes complete, emulated versions of the original NES games - The Legend of Zelda, and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. Nintendo 64 games include - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (standard version), and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Also featured: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker 20-minute demo, as well as Wind Waker and Zelda series retrospective video clips.

All games are playable in progressive scan display. Both Nintendo 64 titles run emulated at a resolution of 640x480p (verus the original 320x240i).

A must-own for any fan of the Zelda series.

It is a must have for any gamecube/Wii owner. It is a great chance for those who did not get to experience it's addictive gameplay on the original NES console, as well as for those who wish to take a stroll down "memory lane". There has never been nor ever will be a game that can live up to the phenomenon that is Zelda. An engrossing adventure whose tale spans 8 systems and 3 decades. It is easy to see why fans of the franchise love it and keep coming back for more, and can't wait for the next installment to arrive. I HIGHLY recommend this game to all. It's price is worth every penny, especially considering the fact it is 4 games in one, and cannot be purchased from a retail store. Buy this game and kiss your free time good-bye!

The Legend of Zelda (Collectors Edition)
Review created: 01/02/08
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

Released to the United States November 24, 2003 (Japan March 18, 2004) The Legend of Zelda Collectors edition offers four action packed classics near impossible to find. This Disk includes The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (standard version), and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. The games have been emulated and recreated to run in progressive scan display. Both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask have been formatted to run at a resolution of 640x480 (opposing 320x240i) unfortunately these collectors disks were part of a gamecube bundle and are no longer in print. If you're an old school Zelda fan this is a must have collection item, if you happen to run across one of these it's easily worth the buy. I myself grew up with Zelda and have always been tired of dealing with the constantly malfunctioning Nintendo cartridge system. And this game gives you 4 of the best Zelda games ever created. The games of course run great, I have never had any problems with the emulations. I can't possibly bring any dislikes about for this collection. I hope you enjoy this game as much as I have.

This game is perfect, that's all that needs to be said. Although, in Ocarina of time, it seems that the joystick movements are most sensitive than in the N64 version. Recommended for anyone who loves Zelda.

  The Legend of Zelda(Collector's Edition)
Review created: 10/06/09

This game is fabulous. You get four of Nintendo's greatest masterpieces. I preferably got this for the latter games. The Ocarina of Times was one of the first games I got as a child. The game has so many side quests that it'll keep you busy for hours. Majora's Mask was another childhood favorite of mine. You don't truly enjoy the game until you unlock all the masks and unlock the Fierce Diety. Anyhow, two of the greatest games out there.

My boys are soooooo happy! It came quickly and in great condition! The game is alot of fun. Having so many games on one disk is great. The game stays in the gamecube and doesn't get lost. Being able to play Zelda again was great. I didn't realize how much we missed it. It has all of the game play that I remember
Thanks a ton!

The Greatest Zelda Compilation Under One Disk
Review created: 09/11/09

The Legend of Zelda has for about 15 years been a great series on the Nintendo systems. I think the Zelda series is the most action packed series on any Nintendo system. It began with the Legend of Zelda, which introduced us to the new epic series. Then they surprised us with the Adventure of Link, which unlike the game before it, was a side scrolling plat former. Of course a few games were released in between the Adventure of Link, and The Ocarina of Time, but since they are not included in this I will not mention them. In 1998, two years after the Nintendo 64 was released, a new 3 dimensional Zelda appeared. The game is of course called the Ocarina of Time. The game was a great succession to the Nintendo Entertainment System's older games. It featured a great story line, nice gameplay and of course the best graphics I ever saw on the Nintendo 64. After that came the Majora's Mask. Sadly many people didn't like this game. It was short, but it was still fun in my opinion. Of course we all know about the Wind Waker, but only a demo of the game appears on this disk. You'll be happy to know that all of the games mentioned above appear on this disk! It may be hard to get, but its worth it!

Graphics 10/10

The Legend of Zelda:

I'm surprised of the graphics in this game. Sure the character images are kind of less detailed, but other then that this game's graphics are solid, especially for the system this was released on.

Adventure of Link:

The graphics our really not that bad, once again. However they aren't the best, either. Graphics don't make a game though.

Ocarina of Time:

The graphics in this game our the best on the Nintendo 64. They our nicely done. I really like how they worked on the time of the day in this game. When its in the evening the sky turns reddish, and it effects shadows and other things. When its in the morning, you see fog like in the real morning.

Majora's Mask:

I hate to break my words but the graphics on this game our just plain awesome. When your on the mountain, and its snowing it looks like it really is snowing. I love the graphics in this game, though sadly on this version there's a bit of a slow down. It shouldn't ruin it too much, though.

Sound 9/10

Legend of Zelda:

Of course most of the music and sound in this game is classic Zelda. When you first start your journey you will here the Zelda theme song. No slowdown to report about on this game.

The Adventure of Link:

The music in this game kind of changed a little bit. However I love the Temple music. If you have played Super Smash Brothers Melee before, you will realize that the tune is in the Hyrule Temple fighting course. I love the music in this game simply because I like Zelda.

Ocarina of Time:

The music in this game is awesome, and really great. The music in this game really fits the atmosphere. Some of the later dungeon tunes our plane awesome. Of course the Gerudo Valley theme plays in this game, too!

Majora's Mask:

The music is really awesome in this game. Its very nice because it also fits the atmosphere. There isn't much classic Zelda music in this one, and there's a slowdown in the music. Other then that I love it.

Gameplay 10/10

You can bet all of the games our going to have great gameplay. The only one that really differs is the second game. Its all classic gameplay here. Think goodness the battles are not turn based.

Overall 10/10
