The Last Juror by John Grisham (2004, Paperback, Large Print)

This was a great read. I didn't ever know this was a Grishman book until I started to look for a review. So, I didn't buy it and read it for the author. I loved the small town feel and the racial insights were interesting insights for someone who lived in the time period as a child in the deep, deep south. I didn't experience the same things in the book. It was really weird and I couldn't believe things like that happened in my lifetime! Even though I know from reading history that it really happened - but it was weird to read about times you experienced from other viewpoints. I think the main theme of this book was about friendship. That is what came across the strongest to me. The tyes of a small town are disappearing. I have seen this happen to me. When I was a child we new everyone in the community - I still live in that community and couldn't name 25 family who live here. What happened? Has tv and the internet taken away something irreplacable.
