this is the sequel to one of his other books and it is fantastic. he has a way of pulling you into the story and you can't stop reading it. I couldn't find it at the library. GREAT BOOK GREAT AUTHOR. You really feel like you are there in his dramas and going through the same anguish he is.
This is one wierd movie. I love it.The two of them made a good movie. It will be another one of those movies that I will be watching at least once a week.
After When the Wind Blows, I had to have the sequel. I love James Patterson. This was way out there for storyline but it was still a great book. You never know what the government is doing in labs. If you like Patterson this is a bit of a different side of him.
"The Lake House" is based on children who have been genetically altered and have wings and can fly. They are pursued by an evil doctor who has cloned himself and is giving wealthy men from the powerful world economic arena new organs and very, very long life.
Patterson is a great story teller. However, in "Lake House" his story telling isn't as smooth as it could be. Sad, tragic happenings are brushed over without allowing the characters and the reader to grieve. The action events were not clear nor concise.
I would buy it again. I am able to glide of the rough spots and enjoy anyway. So Patterson, bring on more and more.
I purchased the book because I thoroughly enjoy James Patterson's writing style. I do not care of some of his earlier works but his most recent books are entertaining and allow the reader to escape from the everyday chaos.
I just loved it! It was even better than the first book I read, The Beach House. I bought it because the first book was a real page-turner. And this one was so different. It was full of suspense and the descriptive prose made it almost feel like YOU were flying. With that said, I rented the movie by the same title, but found it was not this author's book plot at all. I have since bought several more of his books. I plan to read them all.
