The Horse Whisperer (1998, DVD)

I think this is one of Robert Redford's best movies. It ranks up there with The Natural and Jeremiah Johnson. The film has a wonderful main story line. One of the subplots, and there are several woven skillfully throughout the movie, is whether Annie, played by Kristen Scott Thomas, will leave her lukewarm marriage to stay with Tom, Redford's character. It kind of allows the viewer to ponder all the ramifications of such a life-changing move. Is it worth hurting the people you love most to indulge in a short-term infatuation? Tom not only has a way with horses, but people as well. The way he deals with the hurts and fears of Scarlett Johansson's character made me want to find someone to mentor myself. Great casting. Great scenery. Great performances by all. I very highly recommend The Horse Whisperer.

I bought this DVD because my previous VHS movie of it broke. My family love watching horse movies and this was one of our favorits. I found nothing I disliked. It was sent quickly and in great shape.

I love horses. I really enjoyed this movie with Robert Redford. It was agood story about helping a damaged horse and a troubled teenager.

This movie is an awsome tear jerker, two thumbs up. would watch this movie again. A mixture of a horse movie and a love movie.

It is a very good movie and have watched it several times. I am
pleased with finding it on ebay and am pleased with the purchase.
I think it is good not only for the story, but for the beauty of
Montana, which is one of my favorite places. Even though it is a
long movie I do not get bored with watching it. I am new to ebay
and I have bought some other movies and I love the idea of just
getting on the computer and finding things that you have wanted for
a long time.

This is a great family movie. Not only is it good, but it also relays a very important message of encouragement, strength, will, love, and patience. It is a story about overcomg tremendous odds in the light of devistating circumstances. I found this to be one of my favorite movies of all time. It is encouraging and entertaining. I could watch it over and over I think it is that good!

This is a great love story and encouraging life story. Even great for the tough manly men, they wont help but like it either !!!! Robert Redford is his typical cool self and once again steals another hot chick , Go REDFORD !!!!

Excellent movie. One of those you just have to have. Will be glad when it arrives. Have seen 3 times and will be glad when it arrives so we can watch several more times......

this is really a well acted film and a chick flick. probably anyone who likes westerns will enjoy this one. feel good movie that you watch a couple of times.

Robert Redford's easy laid back attitude in this film shows all movie lovers why he is such a Super Nova of a STAR.

He makes it look all too real and natural, that you forget that he is acting.

You feel like you are eavesdropping on a few peoples'lives.

The rhythm of the film is Superb.

And a great Supporting Actress role for a young Scarlett Johansson.

I loved it from beguining to the end!!!! The story was beautiful, the movie was beautiful all the actors played there parts perfectly. It's a must see movie!!!

This movie is good from begining to end. Suspense, Sad, Funny, Cute, Heart warming. This movie will make you fall in love with Robert Redford. He will make all girls hearts pitter patter. This movie is worth buying. But also have your kleanex ready its a tear jerker.

I saw this movie for the first time a few years ago, when I lived in the states on a farm. I was going to get my first horse, I loved them. A close family friend sat me down and said I should watch this movie. At first this movie was very tragic and very emotional, but onwards it became a great lesson for all horse lovers and owners. Keep faith. I definately reccmoned this movie to any horse owner/lover who hasn't seen it. Great acting on Scarlet's part!

Robert Redford manages to produce some of the finest films. This film brings together the stories of people and animals, all dealing with their own problems yet solving them through relationships. If a person has ever been in a similar situation, this film will certainly be a nostalgic journey.

This film can be looked at on different levels. One may see metaphors, and more than a story about romance and a child. I see the horse as a man of faith in God who is in rebellion by not submitting to His authority. It is the authority to which man must submit and is demonstrated in the character of Robert Redford who in the final scene of breaking the horse shows in his performance all the love, the firmness and tenacity that a loving God would have in bringing those He loves back to a sound realtionship. The final scence with the horse displays his final submission to authority as God would bring in the discipline needed for submission and to produce healing, growth and maturity. A believer in Christ would find this movie captivating.

I saw this movie when it first came out and fell in love with it.I took my dad to go see it,also, as a birthday present for him. We both like Robert Redford and my dad likes anything with horses. A few months ago my daughter saw the movie on TV and fell in love with it. I bought the movie for both of us to enjoy,and we have.My dad has also asked to borrow it, a number of times. maybe I'll get him his own copy. I'm glad you had it on E-bay! Thank You.
