The Honeymooners - The Classic 39 Episodes (DVD, 2003, 5-Disc Set)

Have not got this yet been over a month have wrote three times, still no dvd's very disappointed, said they needed my address sent it to them, still no response,won't buy anything again.

Always loved "The Honeymooners", but this was actually bought as a gift for someone else. When it was revealed that the person already had a copy, I kept it. Classic 1950's television!!

What can I say other than The Hioneymooners being the greatest sit com ever shown on television? I can watch it a thousand times and still laugh.

There are not too many fondly remembered classic television sitcoms that lasted only one season, and still be as much-loved and enjoyed more than a half-century later. Without a doubt, "The Honeymooners" stands haeds-and-shoulders above all the rest. Originally broadcast during the 1950s on the CBS network, in ran for just one season, lasting for a total of 39 episodes. To give the program its very unique New York feel and atmosphere, it was filmed before live audiences at the CBS studios in New York City. Jackie Gleason is perfectly cast as bus driver Ralph Kramden whose attitudes and fits of shouts are what make this timeless character so enjoyable. Art Carney is brilliant as sewer worker Ed Norton, the distinctive sidekick and "best friend" of Ralph. Audrey Meadows was the right choice for Ralph's wife Alice, who showed that she was never intimidated by him. Joyce Randolph rounded out the cast as Ed's wife Trixie. Now, all 39 hilarious, classic episodes are available in a DVD box set, with the sound and picture clarity at its most vivid and most vibrant. Each episode in presented in its entirety and in the original broadcast order. There is also a special retrospective show that takes a look at this sitcom and features interviews with the cast members. After all these years, "The Honeymooners" is still a very funny program; one of the 10 best sitcoms in television history.

I've enjoyed The Honeymooners since I first remember watching the reruns in the late 1970's. Last year I moved from New York to Florida and The Honeymooners New Year's Day marathon that was a fixture in New York wasn't available in Floida. So after being frustrated by not having The Honeymooners maratchon here in Florida I decided early this year to buy the classic 39 episodes of The Honeymooners on ebay. And I really enjoyed watching all 39 episodes so much. :) Now I'm looking for the lost episodes of The Honeymooners and hope to have the pleasure of seeing those shows again soon. Especially the emotional adoption episode which broke away from the normally funny shows. I don't watch much network television anymore. But I do enjoy watching classic television shows from the past such as The Honeymooners. And I'm glad The Honeymooners is available on DVD to people who want to watch the episodes again.

I and many of my friends and family used to watch this TV show way back when. The humor is unique, the black and white is so familiar. I bought is as a gift for my other half, so he doesn't even know we have it. We've seen excerpts from time to time, some of their shenanigans are so funny, like addressing the ball. I'm so glad to have found this DVD.

Classic comedy episodes from a simpler time in history. Great episodes to watch for a rainy afternoon. Feel good comedy, and good family values. Just gotta love these episodes

I think that this was the bomb. I really think Jackie Gleason's facial expressions are great. They don't make them like that anymore.

The Honeymooners.......what can I say? It is one of the best, if not THE best, classic comedy sitcoms ever produced. Hilarious comedy, non-vulgar, laugh-out-loud skits.......I know each episode by heart, and can repeat line for line and, yet, still laugh like it's the first time viewed. Fond memories from my 1950s childhood. After working with my boss for 15 years, I just learned she loves the Honeymooners, so I purchased this set for her for Christmas. The Honeymooners rank right up there with I Love Lucy~!!!

The Best TV Comedy series ever. Love every single episode. As long there is TV classics, people would never foget " Bang Zoom". I know most of the dialogues, i would watch it over and over again. You have to have this DVD in your collection.

Nice boxed set of the 39 t.v. episodes of Ralph and crew. So many episodes that I totally forgot about, and others that were new to me.
A must for any Honeymooner lover!!!

You gotta have these classic episodes. Lots of laughs. I'm almost a Grandfather now and I can remember sharing those special moments with my Father. Maybe my kids can look back at the times they shared with me.

i was happy to buy this set when i was growing up i would stay up late to wach it on chanel 11 in nyc ,and it was a good time ,i missed them as i grew up then only on newyears the played the ,but know i can see them and get a great laugh ant time i want so thanks fo the dvds

Both my husband and I never laughed so hard. The comedic writing was excellent. We liked it as kids and loved it as adults.

I have always liked Jackie Gleason and the "Honeymooners." I discovered a reasonable price for all thirty-nine episodes and decided to purchase the DVD's.
The tapes are in excellent condition; no problems.

Perfect for the classic collection. Share with your children and grandchildren. A must have! When this arrived in the mail it was like giving myself a present. One that I will always treasure and share with my grandkids, and reminisce with my sisters and parents. Your grandkids might think "oh no" until they watch and laugh like crazy at Norton and Ralph and the everloving, wisecracking Alice....all 39 episodes. A sure cure for the blues too. Feeling down? line 'em up,turn on the dvd, turn off the phone, put on your fuzzy slippers, have some hot chocolate or wine and prepare to feel better.

Love the show and my 17 year old daughter loves it to thats why i got it. I wish there were more old shows on dvd.
this set is the best and should sell alot.
