The History of Rock [PA] by Kid Rock (CD, May-2000, Atlantic USA)

By far one of the most gifted musicians of all time, not only does he sing, but he can play any instrument on stage , from guitar , bass, turntables, drums, and everything else. Great showmanship also is incorporated to his act, "act" doesnt seem to fit the description of his live performances, there is no acting just straight up rock and rollin' with a little bit of other influences of different music genres mixed in. The CD can capture only so much, to see him in concert will make you appreciate what a rare breed Kid Rock really is.

Nasty, crude, rude, hard pounding rock, rap with a hint of country... What's not to like? (If profanity entertains and doesn't bother)Lets your high powered sound system do its stuff. I like it and I like it loud so everyone around knows its a bit 'dirty' and so am I... If you're rude, crude and proud of it - makes the statement...

Kid Rock gives us back his old songs that didnt sell well when he wasnt famous. The thing thats ironic is that this album went 3x platinum. The new versions of his old Polyfuze songs werent so great, Prodigal Son is probably the best. American Badass is the only new song on the album and its great. If you want the one of the last albums by what we know as "Kid Rock", not whatever country singer he is now, this is for you. Overall, its a good album.

The music is not too bad, but the lyrics are uncomfortable. I heard Kid Rock sing with Jerry Lee Lewis and thought it might be fun to hear him sing alone. Wrong. Voice not so bad, but the material was awful. Listened to about 4 songs and threw it out.

I have been unable to find this cd. Mine was stolen years ago. I am unable to find unedited versions. The condition is very good. I am so happy!

I love kid rock and my cd's are getting old and scratched it's a bargain to buy used as long as they aren't scratched and this one wasn't..

After Devil without a cause one of the greatest albums of all time this just doesn't stack up. Although it does have some sweet songs on it, it's his worst post Devil without a cause cd to date. My reccomendation buy the rest of his stuff first.
