The Ghost by Robert Harris (2007, Hardcover)

I have never read any of Robert Harris' books before until I picked up his brand new book, "The Ghost."

Imagine a very controversial ex-Prime Minister residing at a remote location on Martha's Vineyard and he signed a contract to write his memoir within two years. As with most celebrities, politicians and other famous public personalities, they don't "write" their memoirs themselves. They hire a good ghostwriter to interview and write the memoir.

Well, as it turns out, the two years are almost up and the ghostwriter turns up dead. So enters our nameless hero who pretty much blunders into a Shakespearean comedy and attempts to write the memoir in ONE month!!!

Of course, he finds out what really happens and what the ex-Prime Minister did and puts his life in jeopardy.
