Movie Description
Set in a time of sword and sorcery, THE FLIGHT OF DRAGONS is an epic animated adventure spanning time and space. Peter Dickenson (John Ritter) is a modern-day man of science. Designing video games for a living, Peter is astonished when he's magically transported from the 20th century back to mystical times to battle Ommadon (James Earl Jones), an evil wizard bent on destroying the land. Accompanied by a fiery dragon, an outlaw elf, a chivalrous knight, and an over-the-hill magician, Peter sets out on a quest to capture the Red Crown that empowers the wicked sorcerer.


A precursor to directors Jules Bass and Arthur Rankin's epic TV series THUNDERCATS, THE FLIGHT OF DRAGONS includes a plethora of fantasy creatures--orcs, elves, dwarves, and, of course, dragons. Featuring an array of voices, including Ritter, Jones, Victor Buono, and Harry Morgan, the film successfully captures all the essential DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS-like elements and places them in a setting that is both educational and entertaining.
