Napolean's New Clothes
) The premise behind this film is a fictional account of Napolean leaving a stand-in behind and escaping his island prison of Elba and returning to France, looking to return to his former glory. Ian Holm (Chariots of Fire), as Napolean, gives a consummate performance as a man torn between once having the power to hold the world in his hands, but no real life, to a man who discovers a more rewarding existance. Nuanced performances by the supporting cast, make this a film even more enjoyable on repeated viewings.
