The Easy Way to Stop Smoking....or is it?

I bought this book, hoping for it to be the "miracle cure", yet having some hesitation. I read the reviews on other websites, and people said such wonderful things, that I figured it couldn't hurt. I have tried countless other ways to stop smoking (the patch, the gum, the lozenges, cold turkey, etc. etc.), and, obviously, they failed. I read the book with an open mind, and tried to "take it all in". I ended up finishing it in one day, and was so ready to start, that I threw away an almost full carton of cigarettes (8 packs). About half way through the book, I was already motivated, thinking about what was to come. The last half was a bit anti-climatic, but I was still ready to give it my best shot. For the first few hours, I was fine. However, once the nicotine withdraws started kicking it, it was pure h*ll. I stayed quit for about 2.5 days, until my body couldn't physically take it anymore. I felt so unlike myself, that I eventually gave in. The sadness, crying, and overall feeling of "yuck" was so powerful, that I couldn't do it anymore. I, as I said, was SO NOT ME. I tried so hard to push through it, but I just couldn't. In the book, he says that there is no withdraw, there's just letting the nicotine have the control. He also says don't expect any time frame for the cravings to pass, or they won't. In actuality, no matter how much you want to quit, there's no fighting the cravings in an "easy way". I wish so bad that this book would've worked. But I'm sad to say, that it didn't.
